my mentor and supervisor
As this project started, I confronted many challenges that all connected to stress. To accept this challenge of mine, I had to design precise planning for all the tasks and objectives. I got help from small to-do lists, and following my Gantt chart, using these methods, I could stay on track and reduce the amount of stress I had. For the reason that when I precisely grasped what I had to perform, I felt more focused and organized; hence I felt more composed. At various times during this project, I would end up with a lot of questions and confusion regarding my product and research. To overcome this problem, I set a weekly meeting with my mentor and supervisor to keep on track and be more familiar with either the task I need to do or the concept needed for research.
One of the most delightful experiences of this project was having a broader perspective towards our thinking and decision making; I have learned much more about the complicated routes our brain takes even for the simplest of tasks. It has presented a much deeper understanding of making a better decision through small steps that I may have already known but do not take the time to implement in my thinking routine. I am currently capable of identifying why an error occurs when making decisions. Most important of all, I have learned how to improve myself as a person by establishing a healthier mindset with overcoming the biases I have. I know profoundly understands how I can develop myself and establish relationships with a more distinct view when making choices. I understood that at this age, I must be able to understand myself and my emotions to be able to make decisions when making connections.
All through this project, I’ve not only had the chance to develop as an IB learner but as a young teenager. I have become skilled enough to critically and creatively think about what I’m passionate about, and channeling those ideas to best outlets possible with enthusiasm and eagerness. I have acquired traits that will not only help me through my academic journey but all through life. I now have developed all the necessary ATL skills and will continue to use them for all my tasks. I have now become an individual who’s not scared of risks but faces them by being knowledgeable, inquiring, and balanced. My personal project has enlightened me to follow my curiosity, despite their unfamiliarity, and expressing these concepts through inventive and innovative ideology.
