Introduction

In American context a sweat shop, is any factory or industry that is known to be violating the labor laws in the state. In the developing countries more than 160 million children’s are forced by the circumstances to work at the factories to earn living. They try to end poverty though it is not the truth. Any state could be known to have labor laws but this could not be a condition affecting, the functions of the sweat shops in any state. Accordingly the key products from sweatshops include, cotton, bricks, garments, coffee and tea among others. In research I will focus on the current issues involving sweatshops in the developing country. Mostly, labors in developing states such as in Asia, and sub-Saharan Asia. Women and children are form over 80 percent of the sweatshop workers .Woman are even not given maternity leave, they take birth control which could make them have poor health. Many of the workers spent their paycheck on families and food.

Sweats shops seem to be are contributing increment of poverty in the developing nation. Women and children are the targeted candidates to work on factories, consequently the are emerging issues like unfair wages, child labor, unreasonable working hours and lack of benefits for workers .Sweat shops violate labor laws, which could lead to mistreatment of the workers.

1. Women and children are considered to be less superior in the society meaning that they can easily be persuaded by their bosses to do extra work at little payment

b.The employees have no power to form trade unions which could make them empowered. This is a failure and they will still remain harassed by their employer

c .due to poverty the employees have no time to negotiate on the wages they will get on daily or monthly basis. This will give the employer room to over some employment agreements and even give them low than the already agreed on their contract.

a Working for more than the normal standards could be an added payment on to overtime.

b .Unreasonable working hours could lead to workers disagreements which could result to risks. And disrespect thence affecting the factory production.

c .Working for long time without better payment could be a kind of employees exploitation the workers at expense of the profits they get.

a Introducing young children to work at early age could make the children leave class to work on part time at the agricultural industries ,due to their ages they get very little payment

b.This  is violation of the labor laws ,there should be no children working in sweatshops .The employee should be taken to court and get convicted

c.Child labor could change the children life to poor since they are not getting enough food yd. They are not having time to prepare good meals due to commitments serving the industries exploiting them

Conclusion

In conclusion the department of labor in the developing nations is faced with challenges which result to proliferation of many problems, including unfair wages, unreasonable  working hours ,child labor .The relevant authorities and governments should develop strategies aimed at ,improving the work standards ,and setting new labor laws. Sweatshops will result to poverty instead of reducing poverty
