Healthcare should be paid for due to the following reasons; firstly, it is provided by the medical specialists that earn a salary. To ensure there is enough money to pay these specialists, healthcare services must be paid for. Hospitals also need money to buy medicines and medical equipment to ensure the sustainable delivery of healthcare services(Kim,Strecher,&Ryff,2014). Paying for healthcare services will also facilitate an effective healthcare system that contributes to the improvement of the country’s economy, industrialization, and development.A smooth-running healthcare system needs a financing mechanism that will ensure the good maintenance of medical facilities, to provide quality technologies and medicines(Kim et al.,2014). This can only be achieved if healthcare services are paid for.
In conclusion, healthcare is the maintenance of health through recovery, treatment, diagnosis, and prevention, or cure of injury, illness, disease, and other mental and physical impairments in people. It should be paid to ensure there is a highly trained and sufficiently paid workforce. It is also essential to pay for it for ensuring proper supply and maintenance of medical facilities for the sustainable delivery of healthcare services.
