Vision for my local health community

Developing a vision for the local public health organization will be a very significant task for the organization and me. Vision is very important because it is the key to strategic planning which is a very critical function in the local community’s management. Vision helps in setting priorities, allocating resources and ensuring that the entire health care workers are working towards a similar goal and objectives. The healthcare set goals and objectives are created with the guide of the organization’s vision. The community health care vision to be developed will be based on 3 major health care priorities which must be accomplished for better healthcare services

The priorities chosen and to be documented in the community healthcare vision are:

1. Participation & Willingness to Act for the Common Good: Individual capacity,

For better health care outcomes and reforms, the individual workers will be expected to work towards what is shared and known to be beneficial for the members of the community in terms of their health care services. Every healthcare worker will be expected to act as himself and not as an agent of the health care organization to maintain and ensure safety outcomes of the patients. The health care workers in the community health care should be determined to participate in determining the needs of the community and ways in which these needs can be addressed as per Bath, & Wakerman, (2015). Everyone must be willing to take action in the community healthcare based on the common beliefs to help in decreasing the health inequities..

2. Desire, and ability to participate, communicate, and work to improve the community;

For excellent healthcare services, all the local public healthcare organization stakeholders must have that inner drive to participate, communicate and work to improve the community’s healthcare outcomes. Also, the community healthcare workers and the other stakeholders of the organizations must be willing to communicate the ways which can be adopted or practiced to encourage healthy habits in the community members as put across by Foronda, et, al, 2016). The health care team must be having the desire also to encourage healthy practices among the community members. The health care team should have the desire to communicate the decisions which the locals should make for better healthcare outcomes. This should be aiming at reducing healthcare inequities in the community.

3. Meaningful participation by local/indigenous leadership: involvement in the community such as through local community and social organizations and participation in the political process Air, Water & Soil:

The community leadership will play a very important role in the community health care to influence the people and their activities to cope with change. The local leadership initiatives will play a huge part in enhancing patient in the healthcare setting. The community leadership will help in coordinating the community and the healthcare providers. The local community leaders will initiate meaningful participation of social organizations to enlighten people on the importance to take care of the environment like water conservation, air pollution, and soil since when these resources are misused and contaminated, the community will be at a huge risk of diseases (Sack, et.al 2017). The local leaders in the community will also participate in bringing the needed political change or participating to promote the wellbeing of the community members. Social organizations will also educate the community on the best way to get non-toxic water, and how to protect the soil and the air we breathe under the leadership watch.

The local public healthcare vision statement

“To become one of the most progressive community healthcare organization in offering the best healthcare services and committed to improving the wellbeing of the community members through education and our desire to act for the common good”.
