Instructional Design
Most of the projects are always characterized by their uniqueness. All the projects are unique in their way and characterized by differences such as the duration taken to complete the proposed project and the specific result the project is intended to achieve. When it comes to instructional design, the projects differ in their complexity and size. Also, some of the projects (instructional design) may require a larger team, and some may require a smaller team depending on the size and the proposed duration.
Some of the main challenges that instructional designers may come across during the process of planning the project include time. Most of the projects are always designed to take a specific duration; however, the designer might not get enough time to complete the project. This will always force them to postpone the deadline or try to cramp with what they are doing to be able to beat the deadline. This can negatively affect the quality of the work delivered. The second challenge is the budget set by the designers. It is challenging for the designer to stay along with the budget set, and sometimes they are faced with financial difficulties before they finalize the project. This will force them to find more resources, causing an effect of time taken. A third challenge faced is maintaining the expected quality. Always, a project is required to meet a certain standard, and sometimes, designers find it difficult to achieve the required quality due to some challenges along the way, such as finance. For this reason, the needs of everyone will not be met.
To overcome such a problem, a designer is required to have a backup plan to secure financial issues. Designers need a reliable place to get the money once they are faced with a financial problem. Also, a designer needs to have a list of to-do things to be able to keep them on time. Quality challenges can be faced out by knowing what the designer wants. This will make the designer deliver what they intend to provide.
