Chicano art is one of the most significant techniques that comprised of several movements. It spread in cities like Los Angeles, and it was carried out by Mexican-Americans who were politically active. Chicano artwork aimed at addressing self-determination, Culturals issues ethnicity topics, and they sought communal identity. Chicanos experienced harsh conditions living in America. Moreover, it contained stereotypical American or Mexican images (Mohr 61). Americans in high power controlled Chicano artwork. Their living situation made them create community-based images. Ruben Sazlar expresses the cries of Chicano’s for they feel cheated. The presentation of Chicano’s images or artistic work is different from that of Nuyorican decent. Carlos Callejo is a perfect example of Chicano artists who painted a Mural by the title, The Wonderful World of corruption in Estrada courts.

Nuyorican art reflects on the relationship between Nuyoricans and Americans.  Unlike Chicano art, Nuyorican art it has been under the control of European for quite an extended period. This artwork reflects on political and social influence from other cultural communities rather than addressing the Puerto Ricans’ issues.  During this period, the artists painted in the same forms of designs as those of leaders in states like Spain, France and European countries during this period. Some of the unique features found in these images were beach backgrounds or tropical fruits in the painted images (De Alba &Alicia 5). This feature was not evident in the Chicano artistic work.

Moreover, Unlike Chicano, Nuyorican artistic work involves the use of clear diction in the case of poetry, perfect syntax, and powerful muscular expression. Again, this form of work contained images that revealed the subject matter of the artist (Root, 2018, n.p). A perfect example of this claim is Hiram’s artistic work, as outlined in William’s work. Hiram used an image of his block to reveal his living condition, which implied extreme poverty.  Nuyorican Poets Café, founded in 1973 by Miguel Piñero, Miguel Agarín, and Pedro Pietri, was a centre for spoken poetry. Through poetry, Nuyoricans could state their experiences in the United States through prose as they felt displaced.

The two forms of art are different. In the case of Nuyorican art,  it involves Muscular expressions of Nuyorians and the background of the images contain tropical fruit and beach backgrounds. The presentation of Chicano art is stereotypical and straightforward for it criticizes the issue of Mexican Americans. Chicano’s  Art tries to explain why America Mexicans cannot be Americans. Nuyorians present images that reflect on unique designs used in diverse countries.

Some of the similarities evident in the two works is that political and cultural powers influenced them. In Chicano arts, Mexican Americans wanted to express their solidarity and reveal cultural, ethnicity and communal identity issues. Nuyorican culture focused on manifesting the unrelenting struggle that all the Nuyoricans experienced. Again, Most Nuyorian moved to the US, where they face problems of stereotypes just like the Chicano community.

Visibility and invisibility is a critical topic evident in Latin art. In Latin art, women artist possess the feature of invisibility. This stereotype implied that women artists were not good artists and therefore, they never existed. Some of these female artists have suffered for they are married to famous male artists. There is various women artist that is associated with this stereotype, Lola Alvarez Bravo, Mercedes Pardo, among others (Mohr, 61).  Visibility feature is evident in the male artist as per the Latinx artwork. This male artist is known for their best creativity in painting images and addressing the perfect topic.

In most cases, women artist only significant on a topic related to sexuality, Domestic issues or gender roles which are defined as tasteless topics in the latinx were gender issues. Overall, all the artists from Latino art movements have fought for their rights to obtain identity in the world dominated by the white community. The most significant barriers that hindered them from getting those struggles were both cultural and racial differences. These barriers were stronger than anticipation for new people or migrants who affected the artwork to be seen as the whites art world. Most Latin artists did not lose sight for they looked at their opportunity in the art world of the entire society.  These Latin artists embraced the use of their challenges, stereotypes and other forms of injustices to represent how powerful it meant to be a Latin artist. They also revealed independence, resistance to those in power, which was better than other exaggerated images that showed how the media and artistic world ruled by the white Americans.

Hispanic is a widely used term that refers to all people who speak Spanish or all people that descent from the Spanish speaking groups. Hispanic is an element of culture since it is a language e that a particular ethnic group uses. This language defines ethnicity or groups of people that share a common culture. Different people use this language, thus making this term ethnicity broader. As far as Hispanic is concerned, we have numerous groups identified with this language. All people who come from Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic will have several distinct features like their cultural backgrounds, at times their religion. The only common feature is the Hispanic language.  Due to this distinct feature, all Hispanic speaking groups have to equate the origin of their ethnic group in a given state (Salazar 6). However, Hispanic ethnic groups have played critical roles in the history of art. They have carried out their artwork fearlessly taking a risk by using symbols that reflect on their cultures.  Most of these artists use their creative works to discuss some of the political and social issues that result in national success or performance. Jean-Michael Basquiat is a critical example of Hispanic artists who creatively address some social and political topics through his artwork. Skull is one of the most predominant artworks that Basquiat paints. In this image, he displays a shape of human skull. The skull has all the feature, eyes, nose and teeth though it depicts that it is not complete. The bones on the surface of the head match the colour in the background of the painting.

Rasquache is a term that has a negative meaning in Mexico. It is a confident attitude that is impoverished. This term suited overcoming challenges that all artist felt in their movement. It depicts the view of survival and original position among the artists.  Rasquache art applied the most essential, quick and straightforward techniques to design paintings or artwork that impresses the audience and expresses their subject better. This term can also be used as the source of inspiration for all artists. This form of art is evident in most religious painting and other exemplary works of art. The picture of Virgin of Guadalupe is a  perfect example of the patron saint of the Mexican. This portrait is representing colonial religious devotion whose effect is felt in the current world. This portrait is different from other artistic works evident in the American artwork like the saints brought from Spain to Latin America. The Mexicans believed in this saint would intercede on their behalf. This image is critical to Mexicans for they think that virgin Mary appeared to one on the Mexican man during the 16th century.

Central American artistic production obtained much influence from the Chicano movement. This movement changed American’s view of a diverse group. It involved fight or struggle for the rights of Mexican Americans. Through Chicano art movement. Central Americans produced visual works (Frank 78) . in most painting, they criticized the political, social and economic conditions for they were poor. They helped in creating international awareness of the unfavourable conditions evident in central America. The artistic work was presented in the form of films, paintings and books. Through art-making teaching, the Mexican muralists influenced young artists in America.

Carlos Callejo is one of the greatest central American artists that took part in the artwork after the Chicano art movement. He painted a mural and named it, The Wonderful World of corruption on the Estrad courts. This painting focused on CIA responsibilities in the heroine exchange or trade. This issue was publicized in news reports in the year 1971. The painted image excitedly displayed a mickey mouse dancing heading towards a spotlight. The painting had a flying helicopter on the background, and it bled red and white stripes. This painting developed as many images faded. Carlo’s art developed due to the sensitivity of the issue is revealed. The most critical subject of this painting was the condition of Chicanos. Most Chicanos during this period were murdered and struck by the heroin trade. The group that felt the impact of this trade were the youths for they desperately needed money due to harmful practices that affected their opportunities to obtain jobs in the US.

The government held racism and inequality issues against the Chicano. The state government blames the Chicanos for their involvement in this activity. The painting on Estrada courts reveals the authentic culture of Chicanos, which was a contrast of the reported information in the American media. Through this image, Chicanos revealed all forms of injustices they regularly experienced in the US. Also, they developed a group or a wall where are youth artists could diverge and exercise artwork practices and develop their talents to be prominent people in society. However, their social, political and economic conditions could not allow such individual developments. The most critical bit of Chicano movement is that it opened opportunities for all Mexican artists in the whole nation. From this movement, it was clear that all Mexican-Americans  will never be demeaned in both art and social sectors.
