Politics is one of the essential aspects in human life since it greatly linked with social and economic aspects. However, when it comes to some aspects of politics, some people are very passionate about politics while others offer less care about politics. For instance, students always see that the matters of politics do not have a direct impact on their own political life thus they do not participate in activities such as voting. However, I am not advocating for any preferred political party nor trying to influence anyone’s opinions and thoughts towards political matters. On the contrary I have an objective of giving citizens the necessity of their participation in political activities. It is a role of every citizen to take part in politics either direct or indirect. The political structure of a state shapes up the healthy stay of its citizens thus neglecting such aspects is committing suicide indirectly since the country will lack defined dimension in terms of performance. For instance, in USA, the divisive 2016 general election of the president as well as the current emerging issues of controversies in the office has caused a lot of people to stay away to the operations taking place in politics (Amnå & Ekman, 2014). Majority of the citizens postulates that it can be polarizing and perplexing which can be valid.  Therefore, there is no valid excuse which can causes a citizen not to pay attention to politics and occurring events of the nation. The always and decision which are formulated by the government preservatives has a lot of impact to the environmental changes that affects a lot of people. Some reason gives an insight on why citizens have a great responsibility in ensuring that stay updated about politics of their respective nations.

The citizens have responsibility to stay updated about political issues to enable them to stay up to date on the economy direction of the nation. It is the role of citizens to oversee how the budget of the country has been channeled to each sector to understand the economy distribution factor considering the equality and the transparency. The citizens also need to understand the financial aid distributed to the government as well as the loans in which the country has subjected to pay while utilizing the funds in a concise way. How the economy of the country is being handled by the government body can also affect the employment opportunities to the unemployed people. Therefore, understanding this economy structure of the government will enable an individual to note the changes of the economy with reasons in case of economic sanctions thus reducing misunderstanding and spreading of propaganda among then leaders and the opposing parties.

Citizens have responsibility to be informed about politics to enable them to understand their politicians and thus electing the right leaders to operate their government. Election is a very important activity in the world of politics. Politics mainly entails the government which needs to be integrated by different leaders at different positions (Delli Carpini, 2005). Majority of these leaders are elected through the process of voting. The people actually are the determinants of their leaders. That explains the reason for the existence of political parties which is a collection of people fighting for political seats in different positions. In voting day, it is the responsibility of every citizen registered to avail themselves to polling station to take part in the election so a s to promote transparency. The winning condition becomes the most preferred by the majority thus the government is built around such personnel.

One can imagine that majority of the citizens fail to avail them, selves for the voting process due to negligence and arrogance. It would always lead to poor results which is not rationale since not every citizen have participated in the process. Every vote of a registered citizen means a lot in dictating the political direction of a state especially in governing portfolio. Election of wrong leaders would lead to poor performance of the state which might result to misunderstand and economic sanctions which is a great impact to the people themselves (Amnå & Ekman, 2014). Besides, leaders are elected to serve the people in a clearly defined way thus the decision made affects the people directly.

Citizens have responsibility to be informed about the activities related to politics such as political parties. These activities aid in getting more involved in political structure of the state. For instance, in political parties, every candidate has their own political platform aspiring for different positions. It is a rope for every citizen to listen to various candidates about their expectations when they get hold on the aspiring position. It is always important to select a candidate that supports the issues which are important to the citizens.

Citizens have responsibility to be informed about politics to aid in shaping up the future trajectory of the nation. Every state has it own political history which remains in the minds of the people. This information is very important for the citizens to upheld in order to deal with other political issues which might arise in the future (Amnå & Ekman, 2014). When citizens are more oriented politically, they always make ultimate decision which will be beneficial to their existence as opposed to those who are not politically oriented. More so when the citizens are politically informed, some actions which are performed by leaders can be subjected into criticism thus pressurizing the leaders to make right decisions and delivering their promises. Thus, the leaders will always keep their path safe in protection of their public figure since the people are the ones electing them periodically.

Citizens are the determinants of the flow and direction of the state in both domestic and international view. They need to be politically informed to enable them excessive their duties as good citizens thus building the status of the state (Raskin, 2019). Countries which lack organized systems and the citizens are misunderstanding each other due to political differences, they always engage in civil war which sets back the country back in social, political and economic aspect. Thus, citizens ought to be informed about their practice and limits in the country to enable peace and unity.

In conclusion, setting up a fully functional nation need an integration of a well-structured government and informative citizens. Citizens plays a major role in a state since they are the determinants of various political aspects such as the leaders of the government and other policies which need their thoughts and opinions. Therefore, it is a vital responsibility of every citizens who are eligible to participate in political issues to take part and explore their effort. Unity is always a factor of consideration and thus coming together is the beginning of success. All citizens must ensure they have an understanding about the political standing of the state in order to perfect in areas of weakness of the state. In this way, the government will be able to improve in other aspects in social and economic portfolio.
