The Negro Problem

Introduction

It is saddening that we still discuss the issue of Negro people and issues related to it at 21st century. The difference between black and white is more of racism, but it is inhuman for those who practice. Negro problem has to be discussed time and again so that we can sensitize individuals to accept that the human RaceRace is one. However, the vice has been decreasing compared to sometimes back during the time of World 1, and after this world war. American is one nation; all citizens should practice mutual love and respect for one another regardless of your RaceRace.Discussing means and methods of solving the conflicts relating to the Negros in our society.

First Response

The leading cause of conflicts in society is a problem related to economic issues. But Negro problem is more of financial problems, it’s related to issues of respect, courage and ethnicity that is deeply rooted in some people mind. These people do not want to change for the better. The previous Negroes dared to resist oppression; however much it was imposed on them. Humanity is doing the right things to others, making them feel happy. It is unethical to treat individuals on the basis of colour, but it should be based on ability to do something (Myrdal, 2017).

Government of the day determines a lot of things such as peace, economic prosperity through infrastructural development among many other government and responsibilities. Government policies make all these responsibilities to prosper or to fail. It’s therefore very wrong for Washington, Booker T. to advocate economic prosperity before political equality. The government provide the favourite environment for business to thrive in.

In a free country, all citizens should feel free to vie for any political seat. It’s the right choice to allow Negroes to advocate for justice through political means. Political representation is advocating for justice. America is a democratic country; hence it is the government of the people. Negros are part of the politics that should choose the government of the day, which will fight for their grievances. Washington started Tuskegee institute to accept being a secondary citizen. It will be very hard to prosper economically in a society that you have chosen to be in the second position. It means it will even be wrong for a Negro to prosper economically than the white (Washington & Du Bois, 2019). It is therefore important for Negroes to be part of the Government through political means to lay down a favourable environment for economic prosperity.

Political Justice to Negros means that the government should practice real democracy. To practice real Democracy is to allow all people to choose the government of the day (Myrdal, 2017). It is an injustice to pay taxes for a government that you didn’t participate in forming it. It is unethical and disrespects to dismiss somebody candidature on the basis that the person is black. It is racial abuse which creates some of the foundations of conflicts and ethnicity in our current society. Disfranchisement should never be practised just it was dismissed by Ida. B. Wells Barnet the journalist who shamed Black leaders when the blacks were being discriminated.

Second Response

Another form of injustice is discrimination of Negros in job recruitment and in workplaces. Discrimination is an injustice that downgrades people in society on the basis of skin colour and physical ability. Negros should have to fight for their rights and report any form of discrimination that creates division society (Juguo, 2019). However, the struggle to resist discrimination may be applied recently without giving up until the main list of a non-discriminated community is achieved. Mohandas Gandhi, who used peaceful means to fight British Rules for a long time. Peaceful means doesn’t indicate that one is a coward. But it is instead a reasonable method to fight for personal rights without property destruction and loss of olives. Negros fight against discrimination should be done with a lot of resilience. Statistics shows that the number of illegal arrest to black people is very high than other people in society.

The US is a country that belongs to all its citizens, and therefore there should be no discrimination in workplaces. Negros should not promote those companies that discriminate them. They should boycott product that is associated with leaders promoting racial abuse; Negros should, however, advocate justice for all people in society regardless of the RaceRace. “Buy black campaign” was a method through which Blacks people advised other blacks only to buy products from blacks businesses. As much as this method may be used to promote the economy state of the own people, it’s also a discriminative policy that propagates hate and division in society (Washington & Du Bois, 2019). However, it’s a common way to show those propagating division in society that even Negros may drive economic prosperity or may kill the same process if treated in a wrong way.

US Government should employ its citizens based on qualification and not based on colour. During the civil rights movement, choose to use ruthless means to get justice, media helped Negroes to deliver messages that they need employment regardless of their colour as long as they qualify (Juguo, 2019). The whites used segregate Negros on worksites, prompting Negroes to boycott buying products to companies which were not ready to employ them. This slogan was, “Don’t buy where you don’t Work”, current society should not use the same methods to fight for civil rights. The current society should practice ethics rather than the civil rights movement. Its ethics to practice respect for social places and public places. Ethics advocates for standards of qualifications in the hiring process. The US had made tremendous strides today compared to days when the civil rights individuals were used to be murdered.

Today Government should enact laws to advocate rights that will facilitate the recruiting process to be free and fair. Professionalism and experience should be the basis for recruiting a qualified candidate. The racial discrimination is a vice that is deeply rooted in some people mind, it will take time to eliminate it (Juguo, 2019). Relevant policies should be implemented to make sure that even without high qualification, some blacks are also incorporated in running the government. Affirmative action was a brilliant idea and should also be used today.

Conclusion

Every US citizen should understand that all human are the same. Negros are the equal Citizen as any other citizen regardless of their skin colour. Negros should remain stable and never give up; however, the struggle for civil justice is a long process as it needs time to teach and enlighten people on the many importance of social justice. The fight for social justice should be achieved through peaceful means, and any violence means should not be accepted. Some policies that were used in the past is not applicable. Today’s world needs more of ethics than force in helping Negros to fight for civil rights than using violent means such as attacking those practising racial discrimination. Economic prosperity at the individual level and Government levels depend mainly on the peace that exists between its citizens. Peace can only be achieved if there is social justice. Negros has to realize social justice before they can work in building the nation. Other people should learn from the former leaders who fought for social justice through the civil rights movement. It’s of more good to fight for people rights than practice discrimination.
