NEEDS ASSESSMENT
Introduction
The needs assessment is a vital activity that needs to be done in societies and communities in general. Many families find it challenging to satisfy the needs of their children due to poor assessment of the needs to be satisfied first. The assessment of the need starts in the families, then in communities, and extends to the national level that, in turn, results in the economic needs assessment. Therefore, needs assessment is an activity that needs to be considered in the communities to ensure the mobilization of the available resources (Mayo, 2016). Needs assessment
The first strategy of the need assessment is the determination of the need itself in the community. In the identification of the needs, the community has to put more concern on the more essential obligations that need to be satisfied first. This means that the community has to come up with a plan on the selection of the needs (Zgodzinski, 2016). After the selection of the basic fundamental need, the community has to come up with the team to do vital analyses on the selected needs and see if they are beneficial to all the people in the community. The team should also identify the areas that need more improvement to enhance the suitable allocation of the resources, and then the resources are mobilized to satisfy the need. Basically, in most communities, the needs assessment is done in the evening hours when all the members in the community are present to enhance effective feedback on the unsatisfied needs
Communities find it challenging to improve needs assessment in their daily activities due to lack of prioritizing in that one finds that the communities consider all needs as the same and common. Due to poor prioritizing, they tend to allocate resources appropriately. The best and vital activity to be done for the successful needs assessment is to plan and prioritize the needs that need to be satisfied first (Eitniear, 2016).
