There have been numerous security challenges that have faced and continue to meet the port of city Texas Maritime environment. Different scholars and legislators have come on with their various reports on how the maritime climate in Texas is being affected. Managing growth of humans is one of the security issues that face the maritime environment in Texas. With the growth of the human population, then the natural resources are exploited. Some of the natural resources are exploited the fishing stocks (Wang & Mileski, 2018). With the growth of the human population, the fishing stock generally reduces, leading to a significant drop. The human consumption will frequently affect the world based on estimations of Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The fleet size of fish is thus reduced, posing a threat to the population of the fish which will generally lead to a reduced number and a security threat eventually. The city of Texas, thus with other cities, have to ensure that the human population, to a more significant extent, dies not to affect the marine environment. Human encroachment to new areas over the years continue to rise and thus poses a threat in the long run to the maritime environment..

The human encroachment still poses a threat to aspects such as the exploitation of the non-marine. In Texas, for example, the marine environment has to be protected from gas and oil industries that are highly prevalent in the area. Thus this is dangers as some people tend to go to restricted areas in the hope that they will reap more and therefore, a security threat to the Texas maritime environment.

The substantial increase in illegal activity is another prevalent threat to the maritime environment. The increase in illicit activities overtime in Texas poses a threat to the overall maritime environment (Techera & Winter, 2019). Illegal market drug to a greater extent leads to change in activities in the society. With the increased rate of crime rates will eventually lead to people being diverged ultimately. The Texas environment will thus have a lot to perform to ensure that in the long run, the maritime environment is safeguarded.
