This paper outlines the growth stages of the subject Steve from adolescence through to puberty and last grown-up. The initial stages of adolescence are usually the beginning of extensive development and change in teenage boys. In this case, Steve is about to turn fifteen; as a result, he indicates signs of independence, and he shows more interest in ladies. What is more, his body has increased rapidly in size, and he is gradually becoming taller. According to one theory, personality can be categorized as resilient, under controlled, or over-controlled (Manis, 2009). Steve has developed a more influential character that forges his own identity and seeks to foster vital relations with people other than his parents.

Concerning intelligence, Steve had developed s stronger sense of self-worth and advanced reasoning pattern. The advantage is that Steve experiences new emotions which help in developing his social relations, resiliency, and the individual’s sense of responsibility. And a resilient individual is labeled as being able to withstand changes in their environment effortlessly and will generally remain relaxed in social situations (Manis, 2009). One challenge of Steve’s early adolescence is potential stress, which could result in trials and tribulations of drug abuse. Therefore, there should be an emphasis on moral development to ensure Steve is on the right track.

 

Steve indicates signs of adolescent egocentrism; and this means he often focuses on himself and what others think about him. One aspect of teenage egocentrism is experiencing is the imaginary audience (Arnett, 2012). As Steve was approaching thirteen years old, he changed his dressing style due to the imaginary audience. And it means that Steve believes that he is under constant observation from friends, family members, and strangers. Like Steve, teenagers in this stage are often worried about their appearance and behavior concerning the public (Arnett, 2012). Imagery audience poses a challenge; in that, at times, it is challenging to differentiate between what the adolescent thinks about themselves and what they believe that others think about them (Arnett, 2012). Now changes that Steve exhibit was primarily influenced by his friends who dress similarly. And this is due to the imagery audience effect, which makes Steve and his counterparts thinking that everyone is always noticing whatever they are doing.

 

The adolescence stage is very vital for Steve’s development.  It creates a significant connection between childhood and adulthood. And it is usually characterized by social, emotional, and extensive physical changes. In most cases, some risks are typically associated with these changes; however, if adolescents are under care and protection, then the stage results to positive impacts on the present and long-term life of young people. In developing nations, the number of adolescents is increasing rapidly. As a result, it is essential to implement policies that ensure adolescents’ health is a priority. And given the increase in adolescents’ numbers, their health initiatives shift from social well-being to significant determinants of social and economic sustainability.

From early adolescence to puberty, Steve has grown extensively. He has become taller, he has a broader chest, and his voice is deeper. Steve has developed a more influential personality that forges his own identity and seeks to foster vital relations with people other than his parents. Concerning intelligence, Steve had developed s stronger sense of self-worth and advanced reasoning pattern. As a result, Steve has the capability of stress efficiently. What is more, Steve can control his emotional reactions by spending most time alone. In terms of moral development, Steve acts like most of his friends and classmates, and in most cases, he evaluates ideologies by first attaining approval from others.
