Like every other cloud system, BaaS gives businesses the ability to use cloud computing in a pay-per-use order rather than investing in infrastructure and support.

It forecasts that BaaS will rise from $84.1B in 2012 to $144.7B in 2016, producing a global compound rate of increase of 15%. Of the eight Gartner sub-segments (Gelinas 2019), Cloud Transactions (17.8%) Cloud Ads (17.1%) and Operations (15.1%) are projected to have the highest cumulative average growth rate (CAGR) in the income generated by 2016.
