Frontline staff Affair

Evidence-based practice (EBP) is successful when there is an integration of the best evidence to the core grounds of patient care decisions. Several EPB models exist to aid nurses, clinicians, and other healthcare providers to implement the best evidence into practice. The Iowa model of evidence-based practice is the best model that is useful in my evidence-based practical proposal as it involves engaging staff on the frontline. This model helps nurses and clinicians clearly translate their research findings into clinical practice. It is always important to involve staff for innovation, implementation as well as acceptance of any practical change in the setting. This model, aligned with evidence-based practice, helps in individual personal growth for professional growth as well as staff development. This model was selected as most nurses, and clinicians find it intuitively understandable and have been applied in numerous academic settings as well as institutions. Involvement of multidisciplinary team members aid in accelerating the I implementation of evidence-based practices.

The model allows the nurse or the team to determine whether the problem at hand is to be prioritized in the unit or organization they work in. Most nurses and the clinicians in the health sector want to base their practice on evidence-based research but lack support, resources, and time to use and implement EBP. Engaging them in evidence-based practice motivates them to contribute to the practice making the unit, department or organization. This allows the nursing departments and units to focus better on their limited resources and collaborative engagement in EBP activities. Sometimes engaging in ensuring staff frontline in evidence-based research comes along with few challenges. Some nurses do not have enough time and seem to be reluctant to change. It worked, but it took a lot of communication, education, and motivation among the staff. Embracing evidence change brings improved outcomes, and developing sensory modulation within different programs and setting a clear vision was useful in coping up with the change.
