There were many crusades that took place with the aim of destroying the pagans, Greek Christians and heretics, the movements faded away in 15th century.

In the year 1096 27th may there was a war between the Muslims and the Catholics in Palestine, it was a crusade that was meant to recover Jerusalem as well as their holy sepulcher. The following year monks together with solders had to set out the holy land
