The rich people may spend a substantial amount of money to buy a piece of art just because they feel some “connection” to it. Today music is the most effective way to treat psychological disorders such as stress and depression. This paper will describe the impact of art and music on human beings’ emotions.

Not only does the music evoke emotions at a personal level, but also at the interpersonal and intergroup levels. As we listen to music, we associate ourselves with the expressions of the music, such as sadness from sad music or joy and happiness from jolly music. Moreover, it fabricates strong propensities to move in coordination with the melody, for instance, jumping and dancing. Our heartbeat automatically speeds and up slows down depending on the music. People attend music concerts to find happiness as music can make them forget their problems easily; they crave for “escapism” from their daily challenges and responsibilities. The late physicist ‘Oliver Sacks’ noted that musical sensation and musical memories could last longer than other forms of memories. This can be explained on a scientific stand that music engages many parts of our brains. Hence, it can easily trigger connections and create associations. Music can remind you of sad moments and happy moments. The relationship between music and memory is compelling. The songs from the past can quickly remind us of emotions and memories. We can all relate to this. When we get to hear a song from decades ago, we are instantly taken back in time, and all over sudden we get to recall everything as we are there.

In conclusion, music and art are among the most ancient forms of creativity that evolved with the man. Both require talent and artistic skills, thus making it the most valuable. As we discussed earlier, music and art have a massive impact on humans’ emotions. Imagine the world without music and art, how dull could it be?
