student of Medicine looking for an apprenticeship in the field of Medicine
I am an enthusiastic student of Medicine looking for an apprenticeship in the field of Medicine. Possession of proficient verbal and written communication skills and a keen interest in Medicine has spanned my whole life. My desire and love to understand medicinal practice has developed into a passion. I discovered my strong desire for science-based subjects while still in high school. My excellence much motivated this in biological sciences. Over time my aptitude for Medicine grew. Later on, I discovered that the science subjects I liked formed the basis for the study of Medicine. Studies that related to Medicine became my strongholds because I enjoyed them to a large extent. My excellence in Medicine related sciences satisfied my liking of sciences, and it has helped clients. Due to my hard work and excellence in high school, I successfully volunteered at St. Francis Hospital, whereby I worked with Physicians like Dr. McCabe. At this institution, I discovered that most patients suffer from chronic diseases, improper support, and poor literacy concerning health. Most of the patients are not aware of the effects of the decisions they make, especially regarding their lifestyle.
The reason why I chose radiation therapy is that it allows me to attain experience with clients; therefore, I can deal with patients in the field of Medicine. Clinical rotations have been of considerable satisfaction to me since I have seen the nursing team curing patients. The way that the treatment team dealt with clients made me develop a connection with patients. The team has a strong bond with the patients especially the cancer affected ones. Dealing with cancer patients may be challenging but my personality is fitting. I am, companionate, hardworking, dedicated and blessed with positive thinking especially regarding health shortcomings. The field of Medicine is challenging and has a lot of technicalities, but the most crucial part is the emotional part. Seeing that patients can go through all procedures including diagnosis, treatment and remission is my joy. Unfortunately, some patients suffer from terminal diseases, but I am a caring therapist, and my role in therapy is just part of my exemplary skill with patients. I am very excited about the patient’s progress, and this is my driving desire to understand the human body. I am more concerned with the patient’s happiness rather than treatment alone.
My previous endeavours have encouraged my desire to study the human body. I desire to assist patients beyond just treatment regarding radiation. The ability to restore a patient’s health and relieve their tribulations is a strong motivation for me. I understand that a medical career is quite challenging, but I believe I can compassionately persevere to become successful. I think my experience and the skills I have attained will serve me well. As earlier mentioned, I have worked for Dr. Kathleen McCabe under primary care for over 120 hours. I have also worked with Dr. Pawel Dyk for approximately 30 hours under radiation oncology.
Additionally, I have worked for Dr. Lisa Alderson, who is a cardiologist for a lengthy period. I have also been under the mentorship and guidance of a renowned pathologist Dr. Katherine Schwetye. Apart from my professional involvement, I have also volunteered at a couple of institutions. At St. Mary’s Hospital, I volunteered as a nursing staff for over 130 working hours. As a volunteer, I also worked at North shore alliance to protect and conserve the environs of the Long Island’s North Shore for over 50 hours. I also have experience in research concerning medical procedures. I gained my experience in research by working as a research assistant at a biology lab.
