Therefore, globalization can be considered to have double-edged swords as it believed to effect as well as having both positive and negative impacts to all generations of the economic development, people, politically, culturally and environmentally. However, despite the benefits of globalization around the universe business and firms are now empowered as a result of global interconnections, still, there are many research questions have already risen and that can arise as a result of both economic and cultural empowerment all over the world.
Importance of this research
Since this research has its significance or importance to both researchers and scholars who are interested in conducting their research or studies on research questions related to globalization such as the political-social effects or impacts of the globalization of the advance of the IT industry. In this research question paper, the question is the relationship of globalization to political-social impacts of the development of technology or new technologies in the IT industry (Devone, 2019). Therefore, the impact of globalization as a result of advanced technologies in society has both negative and positive impacts on the political-social life aspects. Impacts of globalization in the advancement of new technologies in the IT industry is thus a major issue or research question as it influences competition in the market place. Because of globalization, various small firms or business are entering in the market. As a result, competition is becoming advanced as a result of improvements or the advancement of the IT industry. This also has led to huge competition in this global world, and the only firms and companies that incorporate the latest technologies are gaining an advantage in this competitive world (Devone, 2019). As a result of this competitive edge in the market place, huge companies and industries are therefore being affected negatively in their performance and their operations.
How qualitative research question in this context relates to globalization
The qualitative research question that will be addressed in this research paper will the impact of comparative and international education. The process of globalization of the business world has been so far viewed by many scholars and researchers as a major threat or risk to qualitative research in the tradition of education. In this research paper, I will look at the two main aspects or effects of globalization in qualitative research (Keller, 2014). The first main aspects that will be looked into is the vital role played by globalization towards cultural mediation of global policies at various levels. Qualitative research is believed to play a very important role in globalization. Secondly, information and knowledge revolutions that have evolved as a result of globalization has also led to the increased positive business climate that has so far led to the challenges to as well as challenges for comparative education in globalization.
Quantitative research question
The qualitative question that will be addressed in this research paper is the social impacts or effects of globalization, as seen in developing nations states and countries. Globalization, in the context of social impacts, has the underlying idea focuses on progressive of societies and economies (Robson & McCartan, 2016). This idea is more driven by the advanced technologies, new technologies, international and national policies as well as economic relationships with other wide aspects such as international organizations, governments, civil society as well as other business.
Also, institutions and policies like capital markets and trade liberalization, international labour standards, corporate behaviours as well as other issues, the environment, intellectual agreements on property rights and policies that are pursued at both international and national levels that support and protect countries and economies integrations as they considered to plays a significant role in globalization. The latter aspects, therefore, suggest that the already existing patterns of globalization are not an inevitable trend. Therefore, implying that the existing globalization patterns form part of product policy choices (Robson & McCartan, 2016). At the same time, the advancement of technology is termed as irreversible; policies are therefore bound to be changed. In addition, the evolvement of technology has led to the widening of policies available.
On the other hand, the social dimension in this paper will refer to the effects or the impacts of globalization on work and lifestyle of people, their families and societies. Various issues and concerns are always raised on what are the impacts or the effects of globalization on working conditions, employment, social and income protection (Lee & Vivarelli, 2014). Social life as a result of globalization encompasses identity and culture, security, exclusion or inclusion as well as the cohesiveness of communities and families.
