Flat countries

In the high flat countries, there was a huge number of women representatives in parliament. This was caused by the inclusion and the freedom of women to vote and vie for the positions in the countries. These countries had realized the need for including women in leadership positions. These countries saw women given the right to participate in the legal decisions in the country. The election of the women was empowered in these countries, and they had the same position as men in elections, and their voice was also heard. The election of women in the representative positions helped in better representation of the affairs of women as the elected women were seen to be able to bring up the issues facing women in the country. In these countries, women were given the freedom early, and they were among the first countries to have women in representative positions (MOLAEB. n.d). This continued to the current position where they elect women in any position in the government. The high flat countries recognize the leadership qualities that women have, and they appreciate the role they play in the nation.

The flat middle countries have an average amount of women in the representative position. This includes most of the countries that are trying to achieve equality in them. Women in leadership positions in these countries face fierce competition for the posts. The women in the leadership are about 5% to 10% of the total available positions. The states allow women to vie for the seats and also vote in the elections. These countries have not achieved equality and women are on an uphill task to achieve the leadership positions (MOLAEB n.d). Some of these countries allow women to vote but not vie for seats while in others they will enable them to compete for the positions but not vote. In most of these positions, a woman vying for a position often receives less support from their fellow women and stands a lower chance of winning the seat than their male competitors. Most of these countries have laws that do not support equality, and they do not view women as competent leaders. The role of women in most of these countries is as voters who enable the men’s competitors to clinch the positions of power that they desire.

Low flat countries have less or no women at all in the representative positions in the government. In these countries, women do not have the right to vie for leadership positions. The matters of the states are seen as male matters, and this makes men be the ones in the leadership positions in this category. The role of women in the countries is as followers, and they depend on men to make the decisions in the states. Most of these countries do not allow equality, and they follow laws that are mostly joint with religion, and they believe the leadership position belongs exclusively to men. In others that will enable women in the leadership positions, they are given the low ranking positions that are controlled by the men (MOLAEB. n.d). The women in these countries have no right to vie for the seats, and men discuss their issues, and they have to adhere to the rules and the conclusions that are arrived at by the men.
