Coming from a place where the Red Death had not reached, I have decided to interview prince Prospero about how the eventualities that happened to lead to the Red Death plague. The interview took place in deep seclusion of one of his castellated abbeys, which were like a form of seclusion. Here there was a selection of individuals ranging from friends and knights from what I was able to see. The structure was magnificent, and it seemed that it was a chamber which was had been built to prevent him from the deadly plague. As I waited in this chamber that was built to defy the contagion, I was asked by one lady whom I presume was his secretary to join the prince in one of the rooms, which was meticulously decorated. This was before he had locked the doors of his chambers, but there were guards everywhere to restrict any unwarranted entry I bowed as a sign of respect, and my interview began. I asked him about the Red Death plague and how he felt about it and how it started. The prince seemed happy and hopeful and did not seem to be worried. However, he was unequivocal on the plague, and here is what he had to say, and I quote:
“The Read Death plague has long devastated this country of mine. I don’t think that there is any other pestilence that has been this lethal and so hideous. When the plague commenced, we did not know what it was, nor we anticipate this damage. When I say that the plague was hideous because it used blood as an avatar. That was the first sign of the plague, and we did not pay any attempts to it. After the first symptom, which was blood, there was redness everywhere, and the blood increased, followed by very sharp pains. The symptoms persisted further as the affected developed symptoms of dizziness. I am very glad that it was not changed. The condition of the affected continued to get worse when blood started profusing from the pores and then their fatality. “At this point, Prince Propero showed no signs of mercy. To him, it seemed reasonable, and he was not worried about the condition, and I was prompted to ask him why he was not concerned about the condition. He replied by saying: Don't use plagiarised sources.Get your custom essay just from $11/page
“Though the plague is fatal, I have measures that will prevent me and a select group of individuals that will seclude us from the condition. There is nothing that can be done about the Read Death plague apart from saving the lives of those who I can.
As you can see this chamber, is very secure, and it will allow me and my men to be secure from the fatal disease. As you know, when I found out that there was, I have not taken any strict measures since the plague has not yet spread, but I believe that the plague will end soon. I want to urge people to remain cautious of the plague as it is very deadly.”
This was when I determined that the sagacious prince did not worry about the lives of the people in his country. He was more worried about the lives of his life and that of his servants. This concluded our interview as I was walked away from the well-defended chamber. The insights that I got from the king were that no stringent measures had been taken to deal with the plague if its spread continued further. The prince, however, had secured himself in his late.
