Think of a leader you know and describe his qualities and what makes them an effective leader
Bill Gates is the founder of Facebook also the co-founder of Microsoft Corporation, where he held the positions of chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Chief software architect, and the President. He dropped out of school to pursue his dream, where he worked out of passion and creativity. To start with, Bill has always been a leader with focus. He focused on the thing that he knew he had the ability, and that is software. Creativity and intuition make Bill Gates an exceptional leader. Due to his creativity, he came up with a tool that achieved global acceptance, as Microsoft software is widespread. His creativity motivates and empowers his employees and the public at large. As a result, it has made him influential and created more followers globally who adore his leadership styles (Frederick Chavalit Tsao & Laszlo, 2019).
A passionate leader is an effective leader. Bill believes that if something is worth a focus, then it is worth to be done with one’s best ability. Passion goes in hand with caring; he is a profound giver and has made uncountable donations world-wide. Bill has given away billions of his contributions in charities and in the workplace where he ensured that all subjects had an opportunity to achieve the success that they desired. He has given upcoming software developers a platform to enrich and develop their skills (Fonte, 2017).
My leadership qualities and areas that I might like to work on.
Basing on Bill Gate’s leadership qualities, I believe that I will turn out to be an exceptional future leader. I have a sense of passion and focus on ventures that I think are worth exploiting. I have developed a character of values and honesty that has helped me to establish followers in my job and on social media platforms. Motivation from leaders such as Bill Gates has also enabled me to plan by setting goals, execution of the goals, get ready for problems, appreciate my success and to review my plans by regularly evaluating my purposes.
However, from my evaluations, I have noted that my social interaction skills need to be improved. I am a very private person. I have decided to focus on developing socializing and communicating more.

Hello Gold, it is interesting to note that Bill Gates is an interesting leader to look at when studying leadership styles. Bill Gates is the opposite of what one would expect from a leader. He gave up on education and decided to pursue a dream and took risks based on his creativity, passion, and personal knowledge. He did this instead of doing what others had taught him. The risks he took made him an exceptional leader, as well as gave him wealth. Bill Gates’ leadership style would be described as a transformational leadership style because he had vision, passion, and his actions motivated more people (Pawar, 2016). In his transformational leadership, Bill Gates demonstrated the following qualities; he had the desire to encourage personal creativity in himself and others, supported and encouraged individuals instead of the group-based approach, and he individualized motivation. With this, trust developed with his followers, and as a leader, Bill Gates gained respect and became a significant influence, and many leaders emulated his leadership style (Pawar, 2016). According to Abatecola & Cristofaro (2019), Bill Gates’ leadership traits included; focus, creativity, caring, and was educated despite dropping out of school. Learning is a life-long process because even after he founded Microsoft, Bill Gates was still working on his communication skills, and the way to improve his social interaction skills.

Week 2 Discussion: Authentic Leader
Bottom of Form
A Known leader & the quality that makes him an effective leader
Leadership is crucial for the wellbeing of any organization. Every individual can be a leader, but only a few people can be an authentic or a great leader. Great leaders are always able to lead the team to success regardless of the conditions the organization is facing. To be a great leader is not about looking for fame; it requires lots of responsibilities and requires some specific set of skills as noted by (Porter & Malloch, 2014). A great leader is one who is honest, has excellent communication skills, humble, able to inspire and motivate others, being positive, accountability, dependability, and having a positive attitude (Khoshhl & Guraya, 2016). I have come in an encounter with many leaders at my different places of employment, and there is one of the CEOs that I would testify; he is a great leader. He possesses all these qualities that make one a great and outstanding leader. Leaders at every different organization implement different leadership styles to achieve the goals of the company. The leadership style that was undertaken by this, my CEO, positively impacted the company’s outcome. He uses diverse leadership qualities to deal with the company’s issues. He is self-disciplined, always acknowledges the team for a job well done, compassionate, can get along with all members of all races and consistency in all he did. Indeed, he is an authentic leader, and his leadership qualities are inspiring.
Discussion of my leadership qualities
The crucial role of leadership involves creating a vision and having a sense of inspiring others (Khoshhl & Guraya, 2016). As all leaders are different, different qualities make one be a great leader. A leader that shows a high leadership quality can inspire others. As a leader, my leadership qualities include being honest, humble, transparent, having confidence, positive, and being focus on what I want have significantly improved the company’s productivity, teams are happy, and customers’ satisfaction has improved.
Area to work on
To be a great leader requires perseverance and self-awareness. Although I have great leadership qualities that have proven successful, after examining my strengths and weaknesses, I noted there is one area that I really needed to work on, my emotions. I am very emotional; the change process can be stressful and involves emotions, especially when it touches issues that are close to one’s heart, values, and beliefs. However, one can be highly trained and proficient in leadership style, still, there are some skills that contribute to the ability to lead the team to success and that where emotions come in to be able to perceive one’s feelings and being able to understand the signals. For effective leadership, Issah (2018) noted that, it is essential for leaders to understand, recognize, and as well as manage their emotions.

Hi Justina, leaders influence their followers in achieving organizational objectives. To do this, leaders should have specific attributes that will make them be respected and be influential. Leaders provide direction, guidance, inspiration, and exhibit traits, including courage, ambition, commitment, and confidence. Leaders also nurture the strengths and talents of their followers and builds teams’ commitments towards achieving stipulated goals (Cashman, 2017). According to (McDermott 2018), to be effective, leaders must first know what they want from their followers. That is, they should have clear objectives; then, they should effectively communicate those objectives to their followers. Besides, a leader has to inform their teams how they should achieve the given goals, and encourages their teams to work towards the vision with determination, passion, and tenacity. A leader should lead by example. The best way to build credibility and gain the respect of team members is by demonstrating the behaviour that a leader expects their followers to emulate. Also, a leader to be effective, he/she should communicate effectively, motivate, and recognize success.
