Recruitment Process
In this essay, I will talk about the recruitment of the marketing manager. Our company deals with selling of different electronic services as well it offers consultation services. The previous marketing manager got other engagements and was forced to travel abroad. The position of the marketing manager is crucial as it plays a significant role in the organization. We are looking for a marketing manager who will:
- Manage the marketing activities of the company
- Come up with a marketing strategy according to the company objectives.
- Being able to coordinate marketing campaigns for the company
- Being in charge of the marketing budget of the company
- Being responsible for corporate identity and generation campaigns.
- Be able to print and online campaigns and marketing
In this case, I will use the external type of recruiting (Tansuhaj, Randall & McCullough, 1988). We want someone who is experienced and has been working in the industry for long. We also want some who is eloquent and an excellent public someone. Someone who can convince the customers as well as someone who will add an impact to the organization. In this process, we will receive several applicants that want the job position. I will, therefore, come up with the following recruitment process to choose the right marketing manager. Preliminary interview
The first thing that I will consider in this case is the initial interview. In this part, I will try to weed out the applicants because they are many. The interview process, in this case, should be short. Sometimes the interview is conducted over the phone to remove anyone who is not serious about this role. The human resource, in this case, will lead the process at times will get help from another human resource.
Employment interview
The next thing in this recruitment process is to conduct an interview. The interview will be applicable for the shortlisted members. The marketing manager’s applicants will have the opportunity of meeting the interview panel. The panel will take the role of clarifying pieces of information provided by the candidates. The interviewer will look at the body language of the candidates and determine whether they are honest. The recruitment will show whether the candidate is confident or whether they have better communication skills. A better marketing manager needs to have better communication skills and have the right confidence.
Background analysis and references
Any qualified marketing manager will need to have a better background analysis record for their past work. The check is also to check whether there is anyone who is trying to apply for the work maliciously. The panel will take inquire from their recent jobs or school to confirm the behaviors of the applicants.
Physical examination
The final phase in the recruitment process is the physical examination phase. It helps determine the psychological, mental, and physical capabilities of the applicant.

Selection methods
- Are you confident about your new strategies?
- What are you like as a person?
- How would you tackle specific problems at this company?
I will use different criteria to evaluate the candidates. The first thing I will consider is the leadership qualities, educational background, and better communication skills.
A good test should claim reliability and confidence (Bloch, 1996). It states if the person were to be tested for the second time, the result would be the same. The candidates will be tested on better communication and how confident they are. I will then gather the results, then decide the right candidate for the job.
