Additional Critique of evidence
Cancer is one of the significant causes of death in the world. A lot of cancer patients seek to neutralize the adverse effects of chemotherapy and radiation, and this prompts the increased use of contemporary and alternative medicine (CAM). CAM involves practices that are not part of medical modern medical care such as diet, prayer, and massage, among others. The paper discusses the research design, the threats to internal or external validity, potential legal and ethical issues, data analysis, implications, and a summary of the various articles on CAM and related health issues.

Complementary Medicine Before and After Cancer Diagnosis
The study utilized the questionnaire research design to gather information from patients who were seeking treatment in the North Cancer Center in Sudbury to CAM use rate by patients receiving treatment in the facility. The validity of the information collected, however, cannot be guaranteed since the respondents have the right to give any information, even if it is incorrect. The legal and ethical issues within the article were the use of anonymity to encourage the patients to reveal all the CAMS used. Approximately 1000 patients underwent treatment at the NECC during the research period (Buckner, 2018). A mandated questionnaire package was presented to 300 patients, and a return of 141 complete questionnaires was made during the limited time available. Vitamin use turned out to be the most commonly used CAM, and it was analyzed differently from other types of CAM. The alleged purpose of CAM was, however, not different in patients getting chemotherapy and those receiving radiation therapy. The study concludes that the use of CAM, especially biological production had higher rates after a cancer diagnosis.
Breast Cancer Treatment and Management of Side Effects
In the second article, the report from Congo for nursing intervention for gynecologic and breast cancer patients under chemotherapy utilized the interprofessional meetings to carry out their research (Klafke, Mahler, Von, Blaser, Bentner, Joos, 2015). There was a combination of applied knowledge in nursing, evidence-based studies, and theoretical concepts. Before the study, the nurses attended training for communicating, counseling, and administering CAM therapies thought the while salutogenic approach. The needs and preferences of the patients were also considered.
Data analyses and the final intervention comprised of three components: nursing package in CAM, counseling with enough resources and evidenced information on CAM. Massage, aromatherapy, and acupressure, among other interventions aimed at 14relating symptoms during chemotherapy. The research’s main aim was to come up with a turgid nursing intervention, including CAM for genealogic and breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy to enhance the quality of life. At the end of the study, it became clear that it was possible to come with a nursing intervention to help relieve the side effects of chemotherapy in women through a combination of theoretical concepts, evidence, and nursing experience. This study on Congo serves as an evidence-based CAM nursing care in a supportive cancer care facility.
Natural Product Interventions for Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy Induced Side Effects
The third article tries to find a cure in nature. There is proof that natural products can be useful in reducing the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, such as neurotoxicity, hematologist injury, among others (Zhang, Wang, Jia, Kong, 2018). The design utilized by this study was clinical trials and multiple analysis of chosen cancer patients. The efficiency of the study is, however, questionable due to the challenge in revealing the molecular mechanisms. The results of the study show that natural products in categories of pure compounds, bioactive components, and crude extracts can help reduce the side effects because they have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative effects.
Some natural products can also reduce chemotherapy and radiotherapy-induced oral mucositis through anti-infection. Illnesses such as acute myeloid leukemia can be treated using systematic chemotherapy, and this kind of treatment is associated with multiple side effects, which include oral mucositis related to complex pathophysiology( Hussain, 2019). The use of natural products can, therefore, address the many problems associated with OM treatment and side effects.
