- Think about a specific aircraft maintenance activity that has three or four stages to it (the final stage could be paperwork). Write an aim statement that clearly articulates what the outcome of the maintenance activity will be and a maximum of four objectives which have to be completed in order for the aim to be achieved. Decompose one of the objectives to produce a task list. Present the task list in the form of a root diagram to show how the tasks are related. You should identify approximately 5 to 10 tasks.[unique_solution]
- Write an essay in which you discuss the difference between “direct” and “indirect” maintenance costs and the factors that affect them. (300 words +/- 10%). Note this is to be an essay not a report – do not use headings and keep lists to the very minimum.
- Produce a list of all the options available to aircraft operators for maintaining their aircraft and summarise the advantages and disadvantages of each. (300 words +/- 10%)
