Very active on Facebook, the doctor Denis Prozenko confirmed that he is ill, but that he does not have any worrying symptoms. “Yes, the CoV test is positive, but I feel pretty good. I was isolated in my office where all the conditions of telemuncture exist. I think the immunity I built this month will work,” he said firmly.
The Russian president (67 years old) met on March 24 with the chief doctor of the Kommunarka hospital, located on the outskirts of Moscow, which has become the main unit for treating patients with COVID-19 in recent weeks.
The two shook hands in front of the reporters, then climbed together on a treadmill and talked without a mask.
The meeting took place the day before Putin’s speech to the nation announcing a paid vacation week to combat the spread of the new coronavirus outbreak in Russia.
Doctor Przenenko then told President Vladimir Putin that Russia should prepare to face the “Italian scenario”, referring to the seriousness of the situation in Italy.
For months, much of Russia, especially the capital city of Moscow, has instituted strict isolation measures at home.
According to Interfax, the number of coronavirus cases in Russia has exceeded 2,000 on Tuesday, with an increase of 500 cases in the last 24 hours.
