Doctorate in nursing practice scholarship

Application for a doctor in nursing practice scholarship has been influenced by my profound desire to address global health issues facing the community. As a registered nurse and in my career as a nurse educator, I have discovered that health care is in crisis, which needs solutions. Nonetheless, I have been a nurse educator, and I realized new methodologies are needed in practice. Throughout my nursing career, I have discovered that global issues in the health sector need extensive research. This requires funding, which can help in establishing collaborations in response to planning, preparedness, and care interventions that will necessitate the reflection of health equity challenges that are yet to be addressed among nations.

  My doctorate studies will involve extensive research among non-profit organizations, cooperation, government institutions, and society at large. Thus, the grants from the scholarship will be utilized in engaging various parties involved in health in addressing community problems in the nursing field. The community needs responses in the health care towards curbing of the emerging infectious diseases such as the most recent Coronavirus (COVID-19). I anticipate finding a solution to maternal-newborn health, a challenge that has led to frequent cases of mortality rates both in mothers and children by using evidence-based mechanisms. The society is undergoing serious healthcare inequities characterized not only by geographical location but also in resource distribution. One desires to find measures that can lead to equitable health care, which is currently elusive. I plan to achieve this by questioning the health system, delivery models, and resource balance by reflecting the causes of social determinants in health. Addressing challenges aforementioned requires one not only to align with the issues in one’s community but also to define from the global context. This needs an increase in awareness regarding the pandemics, issues that need a scholarship for it to be realized.
