On another hand, the definition revealed by Pals Daniel in his book relates to my interpretation. The author argued that religion is a universal phenomenon. The author defines religion by using eight theories of religion. Therefore, from his idea, one tends to observe religion as that feeling of absolute dependence. Thus, through this analogy, Pal’s meaning tends to have a similar perspective with my definition.
Besides, the two definitions tend to share the prevailing direction. The perspective borrowed from the description is attributed to multiple strengths. Both definitions reveal the issue of religion as that critical element keeping people together and at the same time, an aspect giving divine commands to human beings. On another hand, the image revealed by the definition support religion as an excellent model instilling the element of moral relations to humanity. Besides, the perspective supports how religion is associated with sacred virtues. Most of the modern societies see sacred as something benign or even a benevolent aspect. The whole idea is that the perspective correlates sacred as the critical aspect of building religion in humanity. Therefore, the attitude reminds humanity on keeping religion holy and divine.
Therefore, from the concepts mentioned above, my new definition of religion is specific to virtues characterizing the virtues of good doctrine. Religion is a system of symbols that, by all means, makes people align themselves with extraordinary values and also ordinary powers. The new definition generally supports the meaning and explanation revealed by some of the scholars in the topic. Nothing new in the description only that it has included the issue of symbols that holds humankind to spiritual beliefs.
