  • No assessment word count has been specified although you are expected to provide good quality answers to each of the questions.

  1. In your opinion what leadership style/s do you believe is the most appropriate for your business?

Democratic leadership would be the best leadership style for the business because it will create room for team work and every will be involved in decision making.

A positive role model ensures that they are always positive in what they do as well as being calm, confident and competent at decision making.

Specific      Many people in this digital age have access to every latest technology that comes up. This similarly relates to their use of websites to search for brokers. Under the company’s website, I will create my own website and customize my profile in that it will reflect my skills and proficiencies.
Measurable      Coming up with this website will require a lot of resources. It requires a lot of technical support to come up with a good website for clients. These resources include money, time and self-sacrifice to get it done.
Achievable      I will manage the whole procedure from the beginning to the end. There will be other departments working on the projects. Therefore it will be my mandate to keep everyone motivated.
Realistic      I will improve the customer experience for those visiting our company’s website within two years.
Time-based      For us to be able to achieve the goals we have set within these two years, we have two finish and testing this website within the first year. With this, we will have gotten enough reviews on the site by the end of the second year.

Using your chosen smarter goal in Q3, apply your personal goal to a large brokerage firm or agreement you have with an aggregator for your performance and their overall requirements and objectives. Complete the strategic, tactical and operational plans which should align with the team and organizational strategies. Using your SMARTER goal, explain what each of the following procedures might include.

For example, if a SMARTER goal is to learn new sales skills to improve sales by 1% by the end of 2019 to meet your organizational objectives, your tactical goal may be to attend training and the Strategic Goals may be to improve sales by 10% by 2020.

Strategic plan      Use the provided resources to get to the target within one year. Working with time limits as well as creating daily goals for the group.
Tactical plan      I will organize for my group to attend regular training in small batches so that we achieve the goals set.
Operational Plan      We will have two shifts for working hours. This is to ensure that the team gets enough time to rest as well as refresh their minds before the next shift. This means dividing the group into two.
  1. Explain the steps in a performance appraisal process.

Establishing the performance and expectations of standards will be the first step when it comes to our performance appraisal. This will help identify various output skills that may help us accomplish the targets set. The second step will be providing regular feedback on the progress of this project. This will help us review the various places that need reviewing and also upgrading our skills. With this, we will be able to measure the actual performance of this project. This will create a chance to improve on places where the performance might not be too good. The performance should be able to meet the required standards for the project to be successful. Finally, we will discuss the results of the appraisal to evaluate the various issues noted. Performance appraisal is a continuous process, and therefore it takes time. The best way to work this out will be providing constant feedback to the team so that they are aware of what they need to improve on.

Identify what a performance appraisal might review.

Performance appraisal might look into various issues that might affect the project, such as fixing and improving the different areas that require attention. With performance appraisal, I will also be able to identify more issues and opportunities that will help the team in personal growth as well as their career development. This process will work towards enhancing the strength and motivation of the group. This will enable us to reach our goals.
