Based on your interpretation of either ″A Rose for Emily″, ″The Story of an Hour″ or ″Interpreter of Maladies″, write a literary analysis essay with a focus on an arguable claim. In your essay, support your claim with sufficient textual support. Remember to find this support through analysis of elements of literature: characterization, setting, symbolism, point of view, plot, irony and/or theme. You might reflect upon the credibility of the narrator, transformation of the protagonist, inclusion of an underlying message, etc. In addition to textual support, you are to incorporate three articles of research from the GMC Library. Include at least one counterargument within your essay. You will be graded on grammar and writing structure, as well as your inclusion of literary present tense, third person, tentative wording and MLA format (8th edition).
