Behavioral significances of deontological and consequential reasoning
Reasoning entails co-ordinations of brain cells to give commands to execute a function and respond to a stimulus. Deontological reasoning takes into account the human actions that are derived from their day to day duties and morals. From this definition, human behavior will be positively effective to society due to the features of behavior or action itself and not the product of the actions. Inconsequential reasoning, the final product of action and decisions is evaluated. This evaluation is what is now used in making moral conclusions of an individual. From these two arguments, it can be seen that consequential reasoning brings productivity to society as it can be applied to academic disciplines to evaluate the effects of theoretical knowledge in real life (Khalid, 2017).
Deontological reasoning from definition focusses more on human being behaviors or acts rather than their outputs. In this, the description of action will be judged positively or negatively without taking into account its effects. For example, in law society one should not involve himself or herself in criminal activities like stealing, killing, seducing, robbery with violence, etc. These actions have more magnitude in deontological ethics as they only focus more on preventing a specific behavior or activity. It further impacts more moral rules to the society hence helping in governing the society through policymaking.
On human behavior, deontological ethics plays a vital role in governing. In this section, every person born in society meets different laws that were set by ancient community rulers. This law was used to control the activities and movements of people by creating consequences for those who were going against them. For example, in African society, it was a crime for children to insult old and mature people.
Interdependence among human beings is a vital factor to consider in day to day life. For this to be effective, consequential ethics will not apply as it will not take into account the control of human actions but its impact. Mostly in communities whereby the consequential ethics is dominant, there is a high probability of a hostile environment because the policy to govern the population behavior will not be effective. It is in these communities where a high level of illiteracy, poverty, poor infrastructure, lack of social amenities and poor governance will be rampant. To reclaim these crucial factors the leadership of such communities should come together to apply and teach deontological ethics law to the community.
From the above arguments on deontological and consequential arguments, it can be concluded that human behaviors and actions can be addressed well if the impact is not taken into consideration (Rachel, 2017). Therefore, deontological reasoning will play an important role in societal policing and also coexistent among their members. Also, the relationship among nations in trading sectors welcomes much more on behavioral consideration as it helps in the evaluation of the stability of a country rather than impact factoring. Human thought and movement, therefore, require an action considered factors to coexist among themselves as it will welcome both political, social and economic stability.
