Blood Pressure in Human Body
Blood pressure is a force that is exerted by the blood as it travels through the inner walls of the arteries during the cardiac cycle. Patients with high blood pressure conditions are more prone to heart failure. My recent test for blood pressure reads as 115/75 mm Hg. My systole was 117 mm Hg, while my diastole was 75 mm Hg. This meant that my blood pressure was at a normal condition since it was lower than 120/80 mm Hg. I also tested my friend’s blood pressure which read as 119/78 mm Hg. His systole was 119 mm Hg while his diastole was 78 mm Hg. Monitoring blood pressure frequently in an individual body is very important in ensuring the health of individuals as well as reducing the blood pressure levels for those victims with high blood pressure.
Systole refers to the reading of an individual blood pressure that shows the maximum force exerted by the arteries during the contraction of the heart left ventricles as blood flows from the heart to all parts of the body (Li, Kaya & Kerkhof, 2018). Diastole is defined as the pressure that is exerted on the blood vessel walls as the heart is being refilled with blood.
The first range of blood pressure is excellent, which shows the reading of blood pressure ranging from 90/60 to 120/180 mm Hg. It is regarded as a healthy range and an ideal one (Margolis et al., 2019). My blood pressure readings fall under this range since it was 115/75 mm Hg. The second one is good for the fair range. This range of blood pressure is the one which ranges from more than 120/80 and less than 140/90 mm Hg (Margolis et al., 2019). The third range is poor. This is when the blood pressure is 140/90 mm Hg or higher. If it occurs for several weeks, an individual suffers from hypertension and therefore, should make an attempt to seek advice from the nearest medical officer (Margolis et al., 2019). In general, if the systole reading is 140 or more, and the diastole reading is 90 or more, it means that an individual has high blood pressure. As per Li, Kaya & Kerkhof (2018), if the systole reading is 90 mm Hg or less, and the diastole reading is 60 mm Hg or less, an individual may have low blood pressure regardless of what the diastole or the systole reading is respectively.
There are numerous correlations between the lifestyle that a person leads on a day to day basis and blood pressure. Both my friend’s blood pressure reading and mine were similar. This is due to the active lifestyles that both of us lead. For example, by integrating several forms of body exercises into our day to day practices (Kelley & Kelley, 2018). Stress and activity levels can also have a great effect on an individual’s blood pressure. When one is over-stressed, the probability of suffering from high blood pressure is very high.
I will use the concept of blood pressure as my baseline for those clients who approach me with the intention of lowering their blood pressure levels and getting fit. I will use this knowledge to ensure the health of the clients are met, and make sure that they fall into the right blood pressure category. I will make sure that I monitor my blood pressure levels frequently in order to lead by example to my clients which will maximize my productivity and goals in my home gym.

Individuals should avoid stress in their lives since it helps in reducing the chances of hypertension. Individuals should also perform day to day exercises in order to improve their health and reduce the cases of high blood pressure from occurring. Patients with high blood pressure conditions are more prone to heart failure. If one experiences high blood pressure for several weeks, he or she should make an attempt to seek advice from the nearest medical officer.
