My Intro- I am an Army Veteran of the US Army. I live in Lawrenceville, GA. along with my two children. I moved here 10 yrs. ago from Killeen, TX., close to FT. Hood, TX. I have worked in the area of Logistics since I was in the military and it has been an exciting field to work in because it’s such a broad scope to work in. It’s an enjoyment to be able to work anywhere!!! I wanted to go back to school so I can reach my full potential in my career and personal enrichment. My goal is to succeed in completing my degree plan and possibly go further.

- Assume you have an advertising budget of $1,500 to invest in a campaign promoting an upcoming “sale” or special event for your business. Your target customers are 25- to 45-year-old individuals with higher-than-average disposable income. 5P. “Identifying Misleading Information in an Argument“
Find an online article (news, magazine, journal, etc.) on any subject that interests you that uses statistics to make its conclusion. Share a link in this thread.
Now answser these questions about that article:
- What is the premise and conclusion of the argument based on statistics?
- Determine whether or not the argument uses any deceptive statistics.
- Give your opinion on whether or not the argument has presuaded you. Explain why or not.
- Determine the primary ways in which statistics or authority are used in your current position in developing persuasive arguments and provide examples here.

- Using the Internet or Strayer databses, analyze pricing techniques for established products and services. Next, select and explain the pricing strategy you would use for a business. Within your response, you should also identify three (3) objectives this strategy seeks to achieve.
- Discuss three (3) strategies you could use for the development of a successful website to support a new business. Be specific in stating how these strategies will help the company achieve its goals.
6C. Your supervisor recently announced that you and a colleague, Bruce, will have an opportunity to meet with the company’s CEO in 2 hours and deliver a presentation on your team’s current project. Due to the short notice, Bruce believes your presentation should be an impromptu speech (delivered without notes or plan); however, you disagree with him. Under these circumstances, which type of speech do you believe you and Bruce should deliver? Choose one of the options below and share the justification you would use to persuade Bruce.

The video clip, “The Baloney Detection Kit,” this week discusses the ways an effective critical thinker assesses claims made by others.

- Describe at least two (2) such claims that you have heard people make and analyze the main reasons why such claims do or do not meet rigorous scientific methodology standards.
- Determine at least two (2) ways in which the material discussed this week has changed your own thinking.
