BRIBA, The Belt and Road Initiative Blockchain alliance
BRIBA, The Belt and Road Initiative Blockchain alliance, was successfully established on The 3rd Belt and Road Initiative(BRI) Forum of Tsinghua University, to teach blockchain technology in the development of BRI. The event held in Shanghai from December 19 to 20.
BRIBA was a joint initiative by a team of pioneers in their area of expertise which includes VeChain, DNV GL, The Belt and Road Initiative Research Institute of Tsinghua University, Tus Data Asset, Industry Internet Research Institute, and China Silk Road Group Limited. The Belt and Road initiative Research Institute of Tsinghua University has ranked 1st in China and globally 16th in QS University Rankings 2020. The University has produced several senior government leaders including President Xi Jinping. China Silk Road Group Limited is a significant business venture which has set its feet in various fields like finance, geo-satellite, energy production, etc. DNV GL is the global leader in risk management and quality management services. Tus Data Asset, a blockchain-based company which is currently into government services, finance, health care, and education.
VeChain, a blockchain platform, is developed to enhance the operational efficiencies of supply chain management and business processes. It aims at improving the daily business operations to enable transparent data flow, efficient collaboration with high-speed processing. Specializing in IoT and blockchain technologies, VeChain has international operations in many countries and is currently one of the blockchain platforms with real-world business applications.
VeChain is currently operational in 7 countries including Italy, China, France, Singapore, the United States, Luxembourg, and Tokyo. International business relations and experience have always added to the development of VeChain. VeChain has been continually improving in the area of blockchain technology by providing robust and secure blockchain infrastructure in both software and hardware.
The alliance helps in the establishment of assembling of all resources from the current members, to power more BRI infrastructures by leveraging blockchain technology.
With its deep expertise in blockchain technology infrastructure and industry experience, VeChain will prove to be an essential alliance for the development of BRIBA. My Story™, the digital assurance solution developed by VeChain Foundation, launched by DNV GL, has traced prominent Italian wines including Ricci Curbastro, Ruffino and Torrevento, which shows the crucial business undertakings in the area of business operations in Italy, who has signed agreement to join BRI this year.
BRI involves 136 countries and over 30 international organizations across Asia, the Middle East and more. The Chinese Government, determined about going ahead with this project, has signed 195 Belt and Road cooperation documents.
