Human resource in the healthcare industry is fast becoming a meager commodity. With a rapidly increasing global population, this predicament is likely to expand in magnitude. However, if, with a deliberate effort to effectively manage the persistent issues revolving around the resource, there is a high probability that elusion o the problem would occur. In light of this, this paper seeks to discuss the various human resource issues involving four dentists practicing privately in Evansville.

In respect to the case study, the four dentists are planning to merge to facilitate a group practice. Before the merger, there should be consideration of a myriad of factors that include environmental scanning where analysis of all external factors should occur (Brewster & Söderström, 2017).  This attribute should occur with the intent to ensure that the work environment eludes volatility, including geographical, competitive, economic, and political influences. Additionally, the group should perform an internal assessment where a focus on the analysis of the fulfillment of jobs, as well as the skills of the individuals needed, will occur. This information gathered will aid in forecasting the supply and demand for human resources. .

Consequent to the merger, there should be a deliberate effort to ensure diversification of the workforce and organizational restructuring to in cooperate the various capabilities of the individuals. Training concerning the job specification should occur to ensure sufficient skills are embedded in the workforce. These efforts are a means to ensure that the realization of productivity from the staff mix occurs. If the disregard of these recommendations occurs, there is likely to be low work output due to the deficient health care system. Moreover, there is an expectation of reduced workforce availability related to inefficient planning regarding external and internal assessments. Additionally, if diversification is not applied, the employer is liable for contravening the civil rights act of 1964 concerning gender discrimination as well as race.
