Emotions of children Evaluate the experience. Was it too brief or too long? Was it too shallow or too deep in its coverage? What were the strengths of the experience? The puppet show was a fun, engaging, and super active activity through which I was able to gain a lot of insight on how I can use Emotions Puppet Shows to explore the emotions of children. The puppets proved an excellent way to deliver information to the children and help them retain it. Since the children considered the puppet a ‘friend,’ they were able to express their emotions to them without feeling discomfort freely. Being neither too brief nor too long, we had time to sit and explore these emotions with them and address the reasons behind them. The coverage was in-depth, and it helped me discover that the children had a lot of knowledge. I didn’t think they had. As for the children, it helped them develop some physical and emotional skills as well through using their imagination and language skills for the pretend play. The strengths of the…

Writing Logically, Thinking Critically by Sheila Cooper and Rosemary Patton In the book Writing Logically, Thinking Critically, Sheila Cooper and Rosemary Patton state that ideas do not emanate from individuals’ inherent logic. Instead, the authors believe that views are socially constructed. They affirm that opinions are social and are produced by groups and not individuals. Ideas are shaped depending on time, place, and circumstances and are not absolutes. In one of the passages, the authors assert that “Ideas do not develop according to some inner logic of their own, but are entirely dependent, like germs, on their human carriers and the environment (pp. 3).” Therefore, people can be assumed to be having the inborn tendency to reject information that does not reinforce their beliefs but easily accept and support those that match our worldviews. Any facts that do not build up the people’s worldviews are quickly dismissed. The authors believe that accommodating other people’s views and attentively listening to them is being open-minded. However, they also note that having an open mind is not an easy task since an individual’s…
HRM’S ROLE IN MANAGING HUMAN CAPITAL Assignment Overview Before beginning this Case Assignment, read the materials on the Background page to become familiar with the concepts involved with human capital. As you found in the background reading as well as with your own experiences, company management teams need to look at employees as assets rather than liabilities. They do this in many different ways, such as through the benefits offered to employees, pay scale adjustments, better medical benefits, professional development opportunities, monitoring employee engagement, and more. Managers show their employees that they are considered as important assets by the way the employees are personally treated, such as managers getting to know their employees on a personal level. Managers’ actions show employees that they are cared about as people, not just as employees doing a job for 8 hours a day and then going home. If managers do not treat their employees as valued employees, employee satisfaction will decrease and negatively impact both the employees and employers. With that in mind, how does a company know that it needs to adjust…
