Media Ethics Name: Institution Affiliated: Date: Question 1; Lying and the Media Lying is the act of saying or speaking false information to unsuspecting individuals. Lying is considered a vice by society. There is also a biblical law that prohibits lying, a vice listed among the ten commandments of God. However, modern-day society experiences numerous episodes of lying daily. A lot of people tell lies, journalists, politicians, lawyers, among others. From a situational point of view, lying can be considered both a good and a bad thing. In my opinion, lying is not always a bad thing. However, as a media personality, I would not lie for a story. Like any other profession, the media industry has got its code of conduct, a set of laws and regulations which govern how journalists and other individuals in the media should behave (Simons, 2017). The code of conduct should always be upheld by all employees affiliated to any given profession. No code of conduct permits individuals to provide false…
Evidence and Impact of acquiring Literacy skills in Early Childhood on academic success Abstract Over the decades, through vigorous research on early childhood literacy, an assertion that children acquire literacy skills before formal education has been made. The parents, guardians, and caregivers of the children are often the first “teachers” that the children meet. As a result, they play a critical role in the overall literacy development of children, equipping them for formal education. Common practices such as reading a bedtime story and encouraging the children to practice reading out aloud do not only assist in preparing children for early childhood education, but it also impacts their literacy success throughout their school from early years into adulthood. The dynamics of the community and indeed the family structure has transformed the life of the children in their homes, further affecting the acquisition of early literacy as a substantial amount of children are denied environments that support early literacy activities in their households such as reading. Thus, the shift has necessitated the establishment of various early childhood literacy programs. Nonetheless, it is…

One Hour Disability Experience During the one-hour disability challenge, I chose to experience the disability of being blind. To ensure that I was blind, I placed some cotton squares over my eyes, which i held tight with black masking tape to prevent the cotton from falling. I also put on a pair of sunglasses to reinforce the inability to see. I conducted the exercise within our house and home compound. My cousin was within, and she, therefore, helped me in walking around. I held her elbow as she acted as the guide. Within the one hour, I tried to access my bedroom from outside the house. I also tried to use the bathroom and to access a grocery store that is not far from our home gate to buy some groceries. Brecht’s epic theatre describes the writing, which takes a dramatic form. Representation of Autism in the Media Introduction Autism in the west has been a popular concept for more than 70 years, alluding to deviance and other personality categories. In the past few decades, there has been a continuous evolution towards a better comprehension of the disorder. The term ‘autism’ is a coinage of Bleuler in attempts to equate the condition to childhood schizophrenia in 1911(Milton, 2012). The word was later adopted by other scholars who have carried it forth to the modern times, although the process has encountered numerous transformations. Milton recognizes the various shift to include the contemporary drop in the term Asperger Syndrome and the adoption of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (2013). The current definition of the condition by the author implies that there are challenges in individual socialization as exhibited through communication.
