Sierra Michelson I interviewed Sierra Michelson, a banker at Mojave Desert bank in California. Mrs Michelson has worked in this position for the past three years. My friend connected me her since she is her aunt and knew her as a good person. She loves her job and is committed to attaining higher ranks banking sector by furthering her education. It is no surprise that her typical day is long and stressful; however, learning to adjust is rewarding. In the morning she opens the mail and responds to lots and lots of message. These messages come from clients, co-workers and senior management who may need presentations, status reports or calculation checked. Mornings are often slower and less methodical than in the evenings. Unless the day is highly busy, lunch is leisurely made between 45 minutes and one hour. The afternoon involves signing and carrying out the live deals, which include moving millions and even dollar billions to ensure no mistakes are made. Michelson trained at New York Institute of Finance and undertook a four-year course- bachelor’s degree in banking and…

Also, salesmen despise their female counterparts and consider view them as being too weak for this kind of work. Yes, because marketing is a highly competitive field which means that sales personnel have to do whatever it takes to close deals. Does the marketing profession necessitate manipulation by the salespersons to get clients to close deals? Yes, because this trade is a psychological one whereby salespeople capitalize on the weaknesses of customers to get them to buy their products. Transition Matters for Agency X Introduction Agency X will have a prosperous future. The existing economic boom is an appropriate time for the company to make long-term decisions for the business, especially concerning human resources. Accordingly, the report gives guidelines on how the firm can manage legal matters, forecasting, hiring, selection, and job design as it completes the transaction. Preliminary Legal Report As Agency X moves towards promoting individuals from within the company and outsiders, the HR should be aware of laws that govern the recruitment, selection, and hiring practices. The first law is the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) (Noe, Hollenbeck, and Gerhart 116). ADEA prohibits companies from firing workers who are over 40 years old. The other law is the Pregnancy Discrimination Act. According to this Act, the company cannot refuse to hire a woman because she is pregnant or has a pregnancy-related condition or existing prejudices concerning pregnant women in the workplace. Another policy is the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 that secures people with disabilities from being discriminated against in the workplace (119).…
Comparing the Aspirations of two Companies: Pepsi and Coca Cola Introduction Without aspirations, it would be impossible to progress in business or individually. The aspirations manifest as vision, mission, and values. These three elements provide a map for a company or individual in attaining set goals. As such, if not clear, an individual or company can make claims that would be impossible to put into action. Put differently, the aspirations would be useless. Aspirations are essential in directing a company or individual. Comparing the Aspirations of two Companies: Pepsi and Coca Cola Pepsi and Coca Cola are giant multinationals in the beverage industry. Coca Cola has a pharmaceutical background in that, the first drink, Coca Cola, was invented by Doctor John Smith in 1886 (Our Company). He invented the drink to give the public who found the drink refreshing and tasty. Since the first drink was sold, Coca Cola has evolved into a household name that is synonymous with carbonated drinks, water, and fruit juices. Comparatively, Pepsi Co. is rooted in pharmaceutical beginnings as pharmacist Caleb Bradham created it in…
International Management Accounting Introduction Companies in developing economies experience immense challenges that adversely impact their management accounting. The typical results of the primary problems entail systems that are difficult to audit, inaccurate and incomplete records, lack of management accounting systems, weak internal control and late account closings. These challenges are common to the poorer nations leading to the management troubles. Conventional control theories developed in Anglo-American countries do not resolve the problems managers in companies in poorer countries encounter every day due to the differences that exist in the economies. The management accounting problems experienced in the poorer countries should be addressed using approaches that are suitable for the conditions within these economies. Discussion Evaluation of the Application of Conventional control theories developed in Anglo-American countries to Poorer Economies Accounting models refer to a set of procedures, assumptions, concepts and principles that define the approaches used in reporting, recording and measuring financial transactions. Various economies subscribe to the strategies that are best suited for their social and economic environment. Countries have their distinctive accounting models that consider environmental factors that have…
Prioritizing Sustainable Jobs Introduction Sustainable employment is instrumental in good working and living conditions. Fulltime workers, who are well compensated for their jobs, improve the economy. In addition, the country also combats racial and gender inequality in employment.[1] The poverty rates also reduce because of better living standards afforded by decent income. In Ontario, Ford is trying to create sustainable employment, which has many benefits for racialized and non-racialized men and women, such as lowering the gender gap in payment and reducing unemployment rates. Prioritizing Sustainable Jobs For various reasons, I believe that Ford will be prioritizing sustainable jobs. Firstly, under Doug’s administration, the province of Ontario led in “overall employment increases across the country.”[2] Ontario added 41,000 jobs in January 2020, because of full-time work. Creating jobs benefits men and women regardless of their race and gender, reducing unemployment rates in Ontario.[3] Again, Ford’s ‘Open for business’ mentality will increase job security. Ford’s administrators are willing to work with job creators to promote employee protection and avail jobs. The minimum wage is also high in Ontario, as evidenced by…
Of the Death of Constantine. Already3049 have all mankind united in celebrating with joyous festivities the completion of the second and third decennial period of this great emperor’s reign; already have we ourselves received him as a triumphant conqueror in the assembly of God’s ministers, and greeted him with the due meed of praise on the twentieth anniversary of his reign:3050 and still more recently we have woven, as it were, garlands of words, wherewith we encircled his sacred head in his own palace on his thirtieth anniversary.3051 3049 Literally “recently” or “not long since,” and so it is rendered by Tr. 1709, Stroth, Molzberger, Valesius (“nuper”), and Portesius. Christophorson and Cousin avoid the awkwardness by circumlocution or simple omission, while our translator shows his one characteristic excellence of hitting nearly the unliteral meaning in a way which is hard to improve. 3050 The assembly referred to was the Council of Nicæa. Constantine’s vicennial celebration was held at Nicomedia during the session of the Council at Nicæa (July 25), according to Hieronymus and others, but cel-ebrated again…

With the rise of computer usage in the classroom paired with a growing interest in educational games, the question arises as to how the implementation of online games impact elementary students’ mathematics skill proficiency. Games that are marketed for educational use promise growth and achievement, but how do they work and to what degree? The research presented looks at the use of computer-based games in the classroom and their impact on student success in mathematics skill proficiency. Utilizing different types of games and game systems, as well as with different levels of teacher involvement, illustrate several aspects of this type of instruction including what works and what doesn’t. The research is backed up with several types of assessments beyond the games themselves and show their effectiveness in comparison to traditional teaching methods. The knowledge gained from these studies allows teachers to determine how they could implement games into their classrooms and what they would need to do to ensure its success for all students. Literature…
