Family systems theory Family systems theory is a technique used in therapy used to explain the behaviors of individuals according to their interaction with other family members and their role in the family. This philosophy argues that all parts of a family are interconnected, and behavior patterns can be determined by the relationship and interactions between members of the family. My practicum site is at the Mississippi Early Childhood Inclusion Center (MECIC) Wholesome Family systems apply the “Composition Law.” This law states that “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” Each family has several individuals who have distinct and unique characteristics and functions. However, a family’s operation cannot be understood if one tries to sum up the various roles of each member. A family can only be understood if all members are seen working together as a whole. There are certain characteristics of a family that do not necessarily describe a specific individual within that family. Some families may live in different apartments but still function as one and work under the same boundaries, rules, and relationships.…

Cyber practices in an organization As technology continues to grow, so does the need for secure cyber practices in an organization. Cyber threats are increasing, and attackers are focusing on all organizations, including the small-scale organizations from Finger Lakes community bank to government agencies such as Customs and Protection (CBP). For an organization to succeed in ensuring efficient cyber protection, the executives must invest in security and provide the necessary support to implement adequate security measures in the organization. Security is all about knowing system vulnerabilities and the recommendations to take in case a cybersecurity incident happens. Many cases of cyber-attacks have been witnessed as the human user is the most vulnerable resource in an organization, especially when a hacker doesn’t have the software, hardware, or operating system in a specific environment. Social engineering is much useful because, as we speak, people have been noted to be the weakest and most vulnerable assets in a network/system. Hackers use sophisticated tactics as well as communication skills to breach organizational security. The first step is determining system/ network vulnerabilities, a hacker approach…

Anger is a negative emotion Anger is a negative emotion that when applied, it turns negotiations into a competition that aims to satisfy self-interest, rather than ensuring collaboration to reach an amicable outcome. Thus, I agree with the conclusion that anger is not effective in eliciting concessions. Commonly, people enter negotiations intending to win a more substantial portion of the contested subject, and as such, anger is considered as a means to achieve an advantage. People think that anger makes one seem more powerful and able to succeed in grabbing whatever is of value. In this regard, the emotion is used as an intimidation tactic. In my experience, it is hard to maintain my poise in tense negotiations. Negotiation is an interpersonal process, and the actions of either party can impact how the other reacts. In some cases, one party may push too hard to gain more concessions for their position, which can be unsettling, especially when I have tried to create value for everyone. Nonetheless, I make an effort to use effective strategies to avoid a negative outcome and…

The Salteaux Culture   The Salteaux Culture was among the First Nation people who believed in Mother Earth, who provided all they needed to survive in the plains they lived in. To ensure their survival, these people relied on the buffalo for food, shelter, clothing, and tools. The buffalo meat was cured and pounded then stored in bags called ‘parfleches.’ The Salteaux people encountered newcomers who hunted the buffalos relentlessly for their hides. These hides were used to make tents known as ‘tipis.’  The birch bark was used by the First People to make and mend canoes, to draw maps and write messages. The dog and horse were used to transport tents and property. They used beaver pelts as a form of currency in their trade with people from across the sea. Some of the goods they traded were gunpowder, axes, tobacco, muskets, scissors, blankets, and pots. For weaponry, these people made circular shields from buffalo skin, which were made by the women. The First People signed treaty 4 of 1874 because of the disappearance of the buffalo, which…

Electronic Banking                 Electronic Banking is a system of banking that most financial institutions are adopting following its development. Electronic banking involves the transfer of money through an exchange of electronic signals between banks and institutions such as credit unions (Kidwell et al. .2016). The transfer of funds via electronic banking occurs where someone withdraws cash from an Automated Teller Machine or uses a debit card to pay for goods or services. This form of banking uses computer systems which record transactions involving the ownership, transfer of funds and methods of access to these funds. The different electronic banking systems vary in factors such as the size of the system and the organization. The transfer of funds electronically is known as electronic fund transfer which has its origin from any electronic terminal such as a telephone. Electronic banking owes its existence to the Bank of America with the invention of data-processing machines, optical character recognition and use of robots to sort documents coming into place. The need to record the daily transactions of deposits and cash withdrawals, availing account balances…

People have turned their focus to bitcoins Nowadays, people are looking for ways to make profits quickly, and that’s why they have turned their focus to bitcoins, although some have termed it as a controversial investment. Bitcoin, also known as virtual currency, is unpredictable since there is no stability in its exchanges, and it is not easy to trace.   Nevertheless, there have been changes, and the currency has stabilized after a particular period of instability. This helps the investors to make their minds on whether to risk their money into a currency that no longer exists.   Volatility   Even though there has been a rise in the popularity of bitcoin over the last few years, the market has remained small, which is an indication that minor changes can impact profoundly on its price. There is no doubt that the value of this currency is going to appreciate instead of depreciating in the long run. A significant number of investment brokers are encouraging people to invest in Bitcoin as a medium to long-term investment due to its short-term volatility.…

A patient whose ECG shows no significant changes The first step entails determining the need for further tests to consider a myocardial infarction or acute coronary infection by analyzing the risk factors. Determining what kind of chest pain is felt is important through assessing whether chest pains are intermediate, atypical, or classical between the possible classifications. Minimal time delay is to be ensured, followed by an ECG, as well as a physical examination. If there arises no emergency yet, a chest radiograph is also necessary. Patients with myocardial infarction depict symptoms such as bradycardia, irregular rhythms, tachycardia, blood pressure, auscultation of rales for left ventricular dysfunction, pulmonary edema, hepatojugular reflex, and jugular venous distention for right-sided dysfunction (Mythili, & Malathi, 2015). Management of the condition involves placing the patient on cardia monitor while using the nasal cannula to supplement oxygen, and treating cardiac chest pain. Depending on the level of acuteness, the ICU might be needed. A patient whose ECG shows no significant changes has their treatment plan that involves early and invasive procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting,…
