Self-Definition When growing up, most children face various struggles that are prompted by the conflicts within themselves. Significantly the internal crisis for discovering one’s place in life is the most significant issue that pushes some children to various heights to get recognition. Mostly, all children desire to be noticed and have the common desire to feel that their contribution to other people’s life is explored. Significantly, the theme that would best suit such a scenario is self-definition, which is evident from my experiences as a child. Additionally, this theme is common throughout the story by Sandra, which narrates the adventures of a girl named Esperanza. House on Mango Street is a set of various short chapters that describe the life of Esperanza, especially after they move into a house in Mango Street. The experiences show multiple instances of a child trying to find her place in the world. It is an illustration of the efforts of trying to discover herself. Self-definition involves the character that makes one different from others around them (O’Kelley, 65). As the case is with Esperanza,…
Student’s Name: Professor’s Name: Course: Date: Commodities in Regards to Social Class Introduction Karl max argues that the process of production dictates the position of an individual in a particular hierarchy. He asserts that the class position in society dictates the ideological and political perception. People of the same class are said to have similar interests in the economy. They work together so that they can advance their interests. Generally, the wealthy people are the ones who own large tracts of land and other commodities such as factories (Lowith, Karl, p.g 35) He seeks to explain the relationship between the status of an individual in society and the class. He concludes, in a society, social status and class are determined through the ownership of property rather than income. Individuals in specific class use their properties to protect their social status. Marx explained that the revolution from the capitalist world to social word was inevitable (Lowith, Karl, p.g 43). This was as a result of socialization of people in large scale production of the commodities. He further asserted that with the…
Options to Community Supervision Community supervision allows a convicted criminal defendant to serve their sentence in the community (Drake, 2018). Community correction officers are responsible for supervising and monitoring the actions of offenders. The opportunity to serve their sentence in the community enables offenders to be with their families, engage in some constructive work to support their families, and to participate in other services in the city (Petersilia, 2001 as cited in Drake, 2018). Community supervision provides a better opportunity for positive reinforcement; in learning new skills and making behavioral changes, offenders are likely to respond better and maintain learned behavior for more extended periods. There are four supervision strategies to supervision include: Intensive Supervision With and Without Treatment This option entails monitoring and surveillance and enforcing offender compliance with conditions of control. Risk- Need-Responsivity ( RNR) Supervision RNR acts as a correctional model employed by correctional officers in engaging offenders to develop prosocial skills ( Andrews & Bonta, 2010, as cited in Drake, 2018). Swift and Certain This strategy employs sanctions as a consequence for offenders…

Climate Change/Global Warming Climate Change/Global Warming/Environmental Issues The world’s environment and climate is an essential aspect that should be put into consideration and should be conserved and maintained. The environment of a region determines the type of economic activities that can be carried out, the kind of ecology that can exist, and also how people relate with each other (Gupta, 2019). Over the year, industrialization and emission of chemicals, fumes, and carbon from vehicles and different types of pollutants have led to global warming, which has affected the world as a whole. Unpredicted weather patterns, high temperatures that cause drought or high rainfall that cause floods and landslides, rising sea waters causing high tide that causes damage is as a result of global warming. Global warming poses a threat to the wellbeing of human beings and should be dealt with effectively as soon as possible. The federal climate change policy of America aims at reducing the emission of greenhouse gas, which was done by following the Kyoto protocols and…

Holidays- Leisure activities Change in infrastructure Explain how these factors will impact demand, positively or negatively Change in infrastructure- Better infrastructure such as luxury seats and comfortable 4D glasses can attract more clients. The effect of the changes increases the price tickets. On the positive side, Clients that prefer VIP experience shall opt to pay whatever price as long as they benefit from the services. Negatively Clients who prefer to experience movies on the big screen regardless of the comfort available shall not be impacted as they will pay for the regular seats and glasses. China Economic Problems There is a good chance that one is likely to lose money when buying a call, even if the stock market will slowly recover. Purchasing a call option means that I will purchase the underlying stock at a strike price within a certain time period. This will give me the right to purchase stock at that certain price until the predetermined date expires. However, the value of my call option will be determined by how fast the stock rise. If the stock is equal to my strike price, then I will lose my money on the call because the contract will be invaluable. Also, if the stock price is lower than the strike price, I will also lose my money, and the contract will be worthless. Therefore, for my call option to make profits, the stock price has to be more than the strike price. There is a risk at speculating stock prices at such a time. Even if the country manages to get a grip on this disease and the economy starts improving, people…
Impact of Covid-19 on the economy of China Abstract The essay explores the economic effect of Coronavirus (Covid-19) on the economy of China. The eventual outcome of COVID-19 in China is that it will be under control after lots and lots of people are infected, and the economy has gone into recession. While the economic impact will likely not last more than three or four months, at most, it will be more profound than the worst days of the county in terms of the number of people out of work during that time and terms of the amount of the country’s loss of wealth. Of course, a large part of the losses in the stock market may be recovered if the market goes back up again. But the country will have still lost the production of the equivalent of years of output from Chinese workers, and there is nothing that can stop that. The most affected sector within the country is the tourism sector since airlines have been suspended to and from the Chinese mainland. This does affect not…
