The American Model of Religious Lectures The American model of religious lectures comprises of numerous factors. These factors converge into the formation of the current spiritual paradigm in America. Over the past centuries, America has undergone multiple shifts in religious beliefs, misconceptions, and conflicts. However, the nation has succeeded in having a peaceful coexistence among different religious denominations, and those who do not conform to any religion. The country prides itself in religious diversity, where citizens are devout, divided, and tolerant of different spiritual afflictions. This essay examines America’s religious journey, from the beginning of the 1800s to its current era. It takes a closer look at religious Pluralism and polarization, Protestantism, Catholicism, the American Conscience, and the interaction between political religion and religious politics. According to January 13th Class notes (2), the American model is the supportive separation of the religious and secular world. It is the creation of equality and the balancing of power between the sacred and the secular. Notably, the American model is pioneered by religious Pluralism that occurred in the years 1776 to 1865. Work-related injuries and death Work-related injuries and deaths do often occur; these injuries affect both victim and family, be it financially or socially. The victim is entitled to some form of reimbursement; so do the family or dependents of a dead person, where the insurance company pays. There are factors which must be taken into account before compensation is made the process may prove to be a very gruesome journey considering all the paperwork between different offices. Individual gains to the injured and dead persons exist. First, benefit maybe medical care. It is paid by the employer to help the injured person to recover fully from the injury. Expenses here include transport money to see a doctor and medicine. Medical care is paid until full recovery is realized. Some people may prefer to receive treatment from their doctors, for that to happen they must prove that the doctor the employer recommends is incompetent. The second gain is the death benefits. Tragically some people die in the line of duty. There exists principles that guide how beneficiaries are remunerated. A death…
The effect of a change on organizations The effect of a change on organizations is an essential factor in its success and longevity in markets. Many companies have failed to adapt to change correctly, with communication seen as a major issue when enforcing change. As such, communicating change is an important duty to managers in order to ensure problems are solved efficiently. One way that has been used by most organizations over time is a communication plan, defined by Torppa & Smith (2011) as a tool used to communicate certain messages to different stakeholders in an organization. Communication plans are important since they provide useful knowledge to workers and managers on the process of a project enforced to bring change. As such, communication plans help organizations establish how the change needed will be implemented in stages, with the communication to stakeholders signaling the start or end of a process (Torppa & Smith, 2011). In the case of Pemancar, it was noted that there are communication issues on the implementation of Nova’s new vision. By looking at each stakeholder involved in…

BOSTON MASSACRE Background Boston massacre is also referred to as the incident of king street, which occurred on 5th March 1770. It was a confrontation between colonialist and the British soldiers in which it resulted in the death of five people. Manufactured goods from Britain were brought to the capital of Massachusetts, which was Boston. The town later became a center of resistance as the British had imposed taxes on goods that were shipped from Britain to the capital. The colonialists opposed the rule as it was contrary to the original charter, which was against the power given to the British over the protectorates. The house of Representatives in Massachusetts began a movement to oppose the rule. They wrote to King George III, asking him to denounce the government. The representatives launched a campaign to oppose this legislation and called for other colonialists to join the movement. The then governor, Francis Bernard, declined the letter, and they were ordered to rescind the message which the house declined. As the movement grew, and people started boycotting the use of the products,…
Understanding the concept of Oppression Many Scholars in their work have various explanations of the philosophy of Oppression. A comparative analysis and comparisons of different arguments on this topic seem to agree. Iris Marion Young is one of the philosophers who have worked on this Philosophy. Does Iris Marion Young’s offer an adequate account of Oppression? Why? Why not? After reading through Marion’s work on Oppression by “Iris Youngs Five Faces of Oppression Applied to Nursing.” ,(Dubrosky and Rebekah), I admit that Young has made tremendous efforts to explain the concept of Oppression adequately. However, I do not agree that she has sufficiently given an account of Oppression. Young’s account of Oppression does not convince me to agree with her arguments and explanation on this topic. I do not imply that her discussions are not exciting or convincing. But, it is because there are few areas that I noticed she might have failed to explain adequately to bring home the meaning of Oppression. According to Heldke and OConnor, Oppression traditionally implies “the act to exercise tyranny by a dominant or…

Legal evaluation Assignment The fact that the law is a double-edged sword does not mitigate or provide for lenient actions to be taken in case of acts of omission or commission committed by relatives. The only remedying factor, in this case, is to either apply alternative dispute resolution mechanisms (ADRM) or result in due process of the law. Nevertheless, if it leads to a court process, lodging of a lawsuit in a civil court would apply, where civil litigation would be conducted to prove the innocence of the mother. I have decided to sue my mother for the injuries caused. The decision of whether to sue or not to sue my mother is dependent on certain variant factors. By dint that she has refused to settle my hospital dues of 4000 dollars, even after been the main perpetrator of the accident creates in me emotional instability. The fact that I’m unable to raise the hospital fees leaves me no choice but to request the same from the court of law. However, if we would settle the dispute through an alternative…

Response to Student Posts Student Shawn I agree with the student’s claim that a reference group affects the perception of self. The student identifies relevant comparison factors that are race and social status. Shawn explains with great articulation of instances where he did not feel “white” or “black” enough while in college. However, the student does not identify these instances and what exactly made him think he was segregated. For example, the student could have mentioned discriminatory acts in the college, such as racial slurs or even bullying acts. Mainly, this would have created a better picture of how reference groups affect self-perception, mainly due to race. Shawn identifies the factors that helped him find a reference group that he could associate with that is similar life experiences and the need to fit in. Notably, stating examples of these experiences would have better enhanced the understanding of the reader. Shawn exhibits weakness in grammar and proper sentence structure. It is, therefore, essential that you check on grammar before submitting your work. Student Terry Terry identifies reference groups that positively impacted…
