Societal Settings is Favoring Objectification of Women A power imbalance exists between men and women in our society. This imbalance is brought about by men treating women as objects. Unfortunately, the imbalance of power is what the community refers to as gender. The male dominative characteristic is considered masculinity, while a woman submissive nature is called feminism. The pornography industry is one aspect of power to demonstrate the power imbalance between males and females. In this industry, women are portrayed as objects of fulfilling manly desires. Feminist groups have been at the forefront of averse this perception. However, the treatment of sex workers is accorded to show a disregard for their dignity. As such, one could agree that gender is a social construct founded on perceived opinions of society as well as the treatment by the system. The perspective that women are second class status has led to the context of sex for women. (Szymanski, Moffitt, & Carr, 2011). Unfortunately, these sex workers are often criminalized in America. The government does not offer them a helping hand. Therefore, one would…

Currently, 3,200 MKR tokens have a worth of $1.38 million. These funds will utilize for sponsoring the research of Masters and Ph.D. students. types of motivational factors Introduction There are two types of motivational factors that affect the motivation of individuals to performing or engaging in certain assignments. Intrinsic motivation involves deliberately engaging in an activity because it is satisfying to you. The motivation in this is driven by self-fulfillment simply by engaging in that activity. On the other hand, extrinsic motivation is driven by external factors. Participating in an activity is usually driven by rewards or done to avoid repercussions. For instance, cleaning the floor to avoid punishment or cooking to get a reward (Akanbi, 2011). However, the two types of motivation affect people’s behavior differently and are different in how they push one to pursue certain goals. While the motivation in intrinsic motivation is driven by one’s self-drive and self-motivation, extrinsic motivation is usually aroused and controlled by external factors regarding the issue at hand. This review will be highlighting the two types of motivation as well as reflect on the impact that they have on employees and their performances. Gendered/ Sexed Bodies Judith Pamela Butler is an American gender theorist and philosopher. Her work has had significant impacts on both the queer theory and the third wave feminist. In her work “Performative Acts and Gender Constitution,” she opines that gender is performative. While she defines sex as referring to a biological facticity, she describes gender as a signification or interpretation of that facticity. By arguing that gender is performative, she implies that it equally has a social audience. Social practices and structures thus dictate one’s gender. The established meanings are passed from one generation to another through the set social structures. Judith’s explanation means that different gendered sexual behaviors are imposed by normative heterosexuality. Based on this explanation, Judith takes social agents as objects as opposed to constitutive acts. Therefore, gender does not exist as an objective thing. Gender can thus only be said to be real based on the performance levels. Gender is not tied or restricted to the material body. On the contrary, it is wholly a social construction that is influenced by cultural factors. According to…
