Health Belief Model Introduction In the recent past, women who are at risk of ovarian cancer have been required to make a choice for or against the removal of their healthy ovaries in a bid to reduce the risk of ovarian cancer. Although this is an extremely risky venture, there is limited guidance on how women can be supported to make such risky decisions. According to Sharma (2016), research that is founded on theoretical frameworks is necessary for informing clinical practice. The book, “Dead Aid” review The book, “Dead Aid”, by Dambisa Moyo is supposed to be exciting as well as challenging considering her education and experience as a worker in World Bank. Unfortunately, it is disappointing since the book is about some essential questions, but it is making no useful contribution to the debate. I can say that her argument and application of evidence are at best lazy and at worst untrue.  The book has failed in its trial to offer a radical critique of aid since the author’s unwillingness to conduct it within the framework of political economy. Moyo argues that aid has demonstrably failed, it has contributed to poverty and that there are other, more efficient means of accelerating development in Africa. My main criticism of her is that Moy applies statistics that reveal a correlation between a high level of aid receipts and poor economic development and then tries to show causality, aid leading to reduced development, by applying hypothetical, anecdotal, highly selective and even emotive evidence to back up her case.
