Zoonosis Summary             Zoonosis refers to infectious diseases which are caused by bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Animals typically spread these infectious diseases to human beings. Several studies have been conducted about zoonosis. Liu et al. (2015), surveyed human sparganosis in China. Human sparganosis is the waterborne parasitic infection that is caused by plerocercoid larvae of the genus Spirometra. The disease was first discovered in China in1882, but the first human case was reported in 1908 in Florida. According to Liu et al., (2015), the infection is transmitted by consuming contaminated water. It can also be passed by eating an infected frog or snake. The disease is also spread through open wounds or mucous membrane. This study is relevant to human health because it gives an insight into how this disease is spread. In remote areas of China, frogs and snakes are delicacies, and therefore there is a possibility of human beings getting infected with the virus. Comparison between Parenti and Neocleous in the Presentation of the Functions and Strategies of Policing Neocleous and Parenti are some of the most popular authors in sociology. Their assertions have, over the years, been used to explain critical issues on the militarization of police.
