Form Robert Litterman, the speaker, it is evident that the introduction of carbon levy can be an effective deterrent measure against excess carbon emissions, especially in industrialized nations (Collalti et al. 2449). The Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Proper Hand Washing – a Quality Improvement Proposal Purpose This project aims to increase the acceptability of handwashing in nursing home settings as a preventive measure against healthcare-associated infections. The plan capitalizes on the evidence that proper handwashing reduces the rate of infection of multi-drug resistant bacteria and other pathogens. The acceptability of effective hand washing practices remains low in many healthcare institutions, such that barely 40 percent of these institutions implement the recommended methods (Mathur, 2011). Since hand washing reflects the attitudes, beliefs, and the general culture of a health care institution, it is vital to continuously educate practitioners to embrace this practice as a daily norm. Besides, hand washing is a reasonably inexpensive practice that can dramatically reduce mortality and morbidity for the entire nursing home population that includes health care practitioners, clients, and their relatives.
