Challenges to Improving Employee Morale and Job Satisfaction
Employee morale and job satisfaction are very critical in the maximization of human abilities in the healthcare industry. According to Singh (2016), happy employees deliver high-quality services making satisfied patients return. Thus it is critical to improving employees’ morale and job satisfaction for them to be able to help in achieving organizational goals. There are some challenges that corporate leaders face while improving employees’ confidence and job satisfaction.
According to Aguenza and Som (2018), some organization lacks funds to reward and recognition. Most of the employees work long hours and need to be paid and be recognized for their achievements. Organizational leaders who treat their employees as a family and who make their employees feel valued get more productivity, job satisfaction, and high employee morale (Goyal & Babel, 2015). The rewarding process requires funds, which are a cost, and some organizations may lack funds to support the process.
Some organization finds it costly to train employees to develop their skills. Chordiya et al. (2017) stated that well-trained employees could offer high-quality services to their patients. Organization leaders lack skills for continuous evaluation of job satisfaction. Assessment should be done continuously to be able to know the level of job satisfaction. It also includes the measurement of employees’ morale and attitude in the workplace.
