The woman’s condition of feeling bugs crawling under the skin happens to many people, and it can lead to loss of sense and many other effects that are harmful to the person if not well treated. In psychology, a person is considered abnormal when their thinking, trait, and behavior is rare or statistically unusual (McLeod, 2018). The bio-psycho-social model of illness is a way of understanding that disease or disorder can be caused by biological, psychological, and social factors (stangor and walinga, 2014). These factors might encourage various groups to influence the definition of abnormality. The biological factor may be defined as the genetic transfer of disorders from the parents to the children while psychological as the disorder caused by psychological factors like anxiety and stress. The social factor is the lifestyle one lives, which may lead to a disorder like excessive drinking.

Molly, the client, raised genuine concerns to the relevant authorities that are the medical practitioners who did not have the medication for the condition. The condition led to molly having depression and further sinking into mental disorder or being abnormal. It was very given for such a person like a molly to be abnormal as the condition leads one to be stressed, which led to mental disorder. The medical practitioners need to be keen and fully diagnose a condition and find the underlying or root cause of the condition. For example, in this case of molly’s condition may have been caused by formication, which is the diagnosis for such feeling, which slowly graduates to delusional infestation (Jewell, 2017). The treatment of somatic symptoms and other related disorders may be a significant concern on their diagnosis as they may be ignored and attached to the person’s health, which may lead to severe mental disorders and affect the health and life of the patient. .
