Self-confidence is a critical element that is very instrumental in an individual’s life. Most people struggle to find it. People who lack confidence can find it very hard to make it in life. Their beliefs have blinded them and thus cannot do something new. Someone nervous can rarely pursue a challenging project, fearing failure. On the other hand, individuals who have self-confidence and have strong beliefs in themselves can easily make it in life. They have strong confidence in themselves and are willing to explore (Lothian& Devries 2017). These kinds of individuals can easily convince or persuades someone because they speak clearly and eloquently. They also hold their heads high and answer questions with acuity. In essence, gaining the confidence of others is, therefore, one of the crucial ways in which a self-confident person builds success. It is, therefore, no doubt that the level of confidence determines once carrier and how far an individual can go.
Creating a long-term goal
Goal setting is a critical ingredient that defines success. Every successful person has a plan of what he wants to achieve every year and what it takes to achieve the dream. It begins with trying and having a passion for doing something. Through the repeated efforts, one, therefore, develops into a better person. One of the aspirations I have always had as a person is to be an excellent orator and a great team player. As a team coordinator, I know I am mandated to drive several agendas in the presence of colleagues and obtain goodwill. I have always preferred the internet as a critical element in carrier shaping. The internet is immensely resourceful and gives a narration on how to be a better leader with influence and power (Lothian & Devries, 2017). World best leaders are also great orators. It began with confidence, and as they practiced, they become used to it. I also realized that confidence builds character; people will cherish you if you believe you are the best. Average people try, but the best perfect what others could not risk.
Secondly, I engage in the focus team. The focus team has experts equipped with distinct skills. They impart these skills through training and team rotation. In this particular case, an individual can learn his weakness and work hard to alleviate it. The focus team helps in bridging the concepts learn in the classroom into real-life experiences.
Confidence building strategies
Skills update, in the perspective where one feels the level of confidence is waning, it is vital to take some time and acquire the skill. During this time, an individual could decide to learn about anything in that field in the location one works. After removing this skill gap, I know it will be straightforward for me for the confidence to escalate (Sekaran, & Bougie, 2015). Secondly, improving posture is particularly important. I have had a problem in the past, particularly in standing upright. In most cases, I lean against the wall and begin to fidget. I have realized that I will have to keep my head high and maintain an upright posture to feel more at ease and confident. Third, slowing the speech could also be very significant. Many people speak very quickly, and sometimes others could miss what they are putting across (Sekaran, & Bougie, 2015). Respected individuals with power and authority usually speak slowly because they feel that they have important points to say. I have recognized that for me to succeed in my ambitions. I will have to slow down the speed of speak signal with an intention that it will help in boosting my level of confidence. Fourth, building on success, success begins by creating small goals that could be achieved quickly. As one achieves the short-term goals, he could decide to go a notch higher and pursue other projects with high-intensity risks. Steeping out of the comfort zone helps a person in accomplishing the things had though he could not do. As one reaps the reward, an individual will feel happy about how far he has come from and move on with confidence. Lastly, I’ll have to recognize that perfection is a myth. Nobody is born perfect; it is due to commitment, persistence, and luck.

Latifah’s work has inspired me a great deal, and her work is extensively appropriate in my career building. From her work, I realized that building confidence is an inside job. It involves having the right personnel at the right time. The personnel could be a life coach and a role model. These individuals can help in shaping one’s skill and make him a superior among equals. Mostly, I associate with persons who are better than me; I have the aspirations to reach their level and have to bend low (Sekaran, & Bougie, 2015). From their experiences, I have been able to stand alone and make an independent decision by taking the best possible action. Conclusively, it is better to believe one is capable and can achieve. The mindset helps in removing any obstacle that may be on the way, and focus on individual growth. Self-confidence could not be achieved collectively, but it is one’s effort to make things happen.
