Confucius’s government explains the strategies employed by the government to administer its people effectively. It also constitutes the characters of the leaders on how to implement set polices. Good leaders should portray typical moral values to be emulated by their subjects. Its believed culture and tradition were the mastermind of the government. Confucius’s leaders appoint officials who support Confucius’s principles and considers the social well-being of the people. The government should consider the living standards of the people before implementing its policies.

What policies led to political stability? The Confucius government focused on three strategies to achieve its political stability. Confucius believed in the traditional form of governance was essential to achieve political stability. He emphasized the people’s etiquette that should be accorded for effective governance. Three policies promoted political stability in China. Confucius believed that people’s connection in society was mandatory to enhance harmony within the community.

He proposed that self-control and intelligence was supposed to be considered in a healthy society. He upheld the traditional dynasty, where each individual had a responsibility and a role to play in the community, not just being led by the rulers. The system of government depended on the traditional values for successful governance. Filia Piety was associated with the respect of the leaders in the family and entirely in the whole nation.

Three policies that promoted political stability were the policy of adequate food production, enough military tools and equipment, and the analects. Analects referred to the trustworthiness of the people to their leaders. It was the supreme policy of all three strategies. Confucius suggested that the other two polices could not function if the people lacked confidence in their leaders, which could eventually lead to revolutionary affecting political stability. People’s faith is the foundation of a stable state. The policy can be retrieved in the conversation between the master and Tsze-Kung in chapter 7 of the Analects.

The traditional policies were retrieved from ancient governance, where good and harmonious governance existed. The government should operate to satisfy the social well-being of the people by ensuring there is no oppression to the people. The society should not lose faith in the government leaders, and also the government should reciprocate with fair treatment to the citizens. Legalism was another policy, although it was considered harsh and disruptive. Over some time, the system was effective in achieving centralized and bureaucratic rule in China. The emperor, Qin Shi Huangdi, initially applied the approach. It focused on universal governance.

What qualities do effective rulers pose? They should portray self-cultivation and ritualistic qualities. Perfect man emphasized the importance of human nature. In the Chinese political system, the perfect man was an implication of a good leader. The primary function of the Confucian state was to provide education and awareness to the people. The emperors and officials stressed on the moral ethics which was associated with good governance in china’s regime. The qualities were significant since they called for a mediation approach in conflict resolution. Leaders with such attributes led to social harmony in the community rather than using abstract rules. The election of the leaders was based on the moral qualities of the contestants. Ethical leaders were supposed to serve as an example to the people they represent. They were the moral guardian of the people.

In conclusion, Confucian governance was initially practiced by the ancient emperors in China. It emphasized the four approaches, namely the analcet, efficiency military personnel, adequate food production, and legalism. The policies promoted political stability among the nation. Leaders were elected depending on the moral characters they portrayed. They majorly focused on the perfect man who was the moral custodian of the people.
