There is a good connection between the rate of inflation and the cost of living. As the rate of inflation increases, the cost of living also increases. The categories of spending that are more important to individual consumers include; services such as health care. Furthermore, individual consumption can have their expenditure on goods like machines and automobiles. Lastly, the non-durable goods like gasoline, clothing, and groceries also, appears as the essential categories of individual consumption. Even though inflation has a significant impact on everyone, but it affects people among different income scale in a different way. This happens as a result of the changes in prices and, more specifically, the increase is the increase in goods and services they buy. For instance, most of the poor people spend much of their income on purchasing foodstuffs, energy, and housing.
They are impacted where you find that most of them search for cheaper schools to take their children because of the increased expenses and the cost of living on food and other sectors of the economy. However, energy is the driving force of the economy, and when the cost of electricity goes up, eventually, the cost of everything else will also rise automatically. Despite the fact that inflation hits more on poor people, the rich also feel it to some extent. They are forced to reduce their expenditure on holiday tours and even making them avoid using their cars because of the high cost of fuel. For my monthly expense, I usually find that food, housing, and energy consumes a lot of money from my pocket. It is a must that I must have something to eat, live in a protected place like a house, and access energy services like electricity. I have felt inflation on food and housing and a small impact on energy. Foodstuffs and housing services are the main categories of things that I must access, and they are easily subjected to the forces of inflation.
