CRITICAL FILM REVIEW: SLINGSHOT HIP HOP
Criteria for paper evaluation: The grade for this paper will be out of a total of 10 points. The 10 points will be broken down as follows: Maximum of 8 points for content: How comprehensive are your critique and analysis? Does the paper reflect a thoughtful examination of the topic at hand? How well do you understand the content, complexity, and themes in the films? What conclusions do you draw? Maximum of 2 points for writing style: Have you written a well-crafted paper? Is there a clear argument that is supported throughout the paper? Are there grammatical errors? Critical Film Review on the film Slingshot Hip-Hop: Papers should consider the following: • Your personal viewing experience of a film. What was your reaction to the film? What was especially impressive/ meaningful/ surprising/ annoying/difficult/enjoyable to you about the film? • The vision or stance regarding the social, cultural, or political issue the filmmaker represents and the major preoccupations of the work regarding character, situation and social realities.
