1. Issue of international students

The Public policy of California presented a report indicating the seven major issues that they face. Among them, the issue of the international student was lacking. The main reason why it was not included is that the main agenda is to at stake (Zhang, 2016). The issue of the international student has not been adequately covered, however through the seven issues that were presented to the high education system in 2019, the international student benefit. First, the issue of improving college completion apply to all student, whether domestic or international. Through different programs that are introduced in school, all students are encouraged to complete college. Secondly, it is by making college affordable. International students can pay the college fees because it is made affordable for an average person. Through making the college affordable, more international students join the college and complete college. Thirdly is through an increase in equity and diversification. When international students join colleges, they get to enjoy the same rights as the rest of the students because equality gets promoted, and diversification encouraged. Lastly, they also benefit from the expansion of college access. International students can attend college in California because of the expansion, which creates room for more students.

2. Role of international students

International students have several roles as they join colleges to study. First, they have the role of attending classes and learning. The international students have to attend a class as required and learn like the rest of the students (Austin, 2015). Secondly, they also have the role of following the countries and the college laws and regulations. International students have to adhere to foreign countries’ laws and follow the college sets rules. They also have a role in completing college. International students have the task of ensuring that they complete their college within the set duration.

CSUBS allows international students to join their college and study. International students issue of the international studentin governance by ensuring that diversity is encouraged (Urban,2015). Due to the presence of an international student in college, diversity and equity are promoted. The international students also participate in governance by allowing other local students to develop a global network. Due to the presence of international students, the domestic student gets to widen their interest to global mentality. Lastly is through the expansion of research. Internationals student leads to the expansion of research because of the interaction with home country students.

International students can be described as the underrepresented population. In most colleges, the percentage of international students is very low compared to the average population.  Most of the international students come from different parts of the world, and most of the time, they do not present their issues like language barriers (De Wit,2020). They get into the system and follow the rules and regulation set. International students are also part of n man and woman of color. Most of the international’s students come from different regions and are not necessarily white. They are therefore fit the description of man and woman of color. The international students are also second language learners. Most of the international’s students do not have English as their first language.  Therefore, they have to read more books on language to help them in communication and avoid language barriers.

4. Recommendation report

Internationals student issue is a significant matter that should be included in the significant core problems that should be handled. The rate at which international students join colleges has continued to increase, and therefore handing the matter helps ease their stay in a foreign country. International students are faced with a lot of challenges while in college, like language barriers. Most of the international students learn English as their second language. Therefore, it is not very easy for them to understand matters easily, unlike a student who has English as their first language. For the issue to get solved, the board needs to consider goffering language learning lessons for the student that struggles with English. International students also face cultural shocks. The board must consider encouraging cultural diversity in the colleges so that no student feels discriminated against because of their cultural background.

International student plays a vital role in colleges. They encourage social and cultural diversity in colleges. They also promote help in enriching research for college students and help the home country student develops international relevant skills. International students help in making the home student better students by broadening their minds an encouraging diversity. Therefore, because of the significant impact international students have on the community and home students in college, it is essential to handle their issue as a significant challenge. Board governance should encourage more intake of international students and ensure that they do not face discrimination while in these colleges. Internationals student issue is a current and significant matter that the board of government should address.
